BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Chris Evans In Talks To Star In Host

While he’s most closely identified with Captain America at the moment, Chris Evans is making sure he uses the fire it has lit under his career to push it in interesting directions. He’s now in negotiations to star in Host director Bong Joon-ho’s Snow Piercer. Though it sounds like he’d be playing another superhero (one with a slightly odd-sounding power - "I am the Snow Piercer!" "What you do in your personal time is your own issue, mate"), it’s actually an indie set in a frigid world of ice and snow, and focused on a train full of travellers who are struggling to survive both the conditions and each other. There’s no word on what exactly Evans will be playing if he locks in a deal, but if he does sign on, he’ll report to the Prague set in March to start shooting. Bong Joon-ho, who last made crime thriller Mother, has written Snow Piercer with another leading light of Korean Cinema, Oldboy director Park Chan-Wook. Evans will next crop up in a little film ca

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 3D Movie Review By: RAMA

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 3D Movie Review By: RAMA Did RAMA have the same feeling watching it in 3D as he did watch it for the first time in 1991? Make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . BEAUTY AND THE BEAST looks even more stunning in 3D and my favorite Disney princess, the sexiest nerd/bookworm of them all, Belle, is as wonderful as I remember her. It’s been ages since the last time I watched this film, so it’s good to have it back. Some will argue that theatrically re-releasing BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in 3D is just Disney’s trying to get more money from you, be that as it may, I’m glad all of this happened because the 3D works and it amplifies everything that’s glorious about the beloved classic… Originally released in 1991, Beauty and the Beast is a classic “tale as old as time” that follows the adventures of Belle, a bright young woman imprisoned in the castle of a mysterious beast and his enchanted staff, who must learn the most important lesson of all – that true b

CONTRABAND Movie Review By: Matt C

CONTRABAND Movie Review By: Matt C Please welcome our newest guest blogger to the site Matt C . He will be doing movie and DVD reviews for the site. He is also a writer for onepercase.net . A amazing site for all you toy geeks out there. Make sure to check them out on Twitter and Facebook . It's hard to think of Mark Wahlberg as a serious leading movie man without remembering his days as “ Marky Mark ,” the shirtless, iron-pumping rapper who made “ Good Vibrations ” a hit back in 1991. Back then, the actor-producer was part of The Funky Bunch, and his rough upbringing and stone cool look were an attraction to MTV audiences. It was Wahlberg’s style that got him noticed, but it wasn’t until 1997’s Boogie Nights that his movie career took off, eventually landing him roles in The Italian Job, Shooter, and Planet of the Apes . This week’s release of Contraband builds on that persona, and the effect is a gritty, intense rollercoaster ride that audiences will love. Chris Fa

Ethan Hawke To Star In Vigilandia

Ethan Hawke will star in Vigilandia , a futuristic thriller that Blumhouse Productions, Platinum Dunes and Why Not Productions are making for Universal. James DeMonaco wrote the script and is directing the low-budget movie, which is to begin production Feb. 13. Vigilandia is the first movie to be made under Blumhouse’s first-look deal with the Universal, signed last summer. The shingle, run by Jason Blum, made its name in the horror field with the low-budget Paranormal Activity series as well as Insidious , one of the most profitable movies of 2011. Blum is producing with Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, who have produced remakes of The Amityville Horror and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre , among others. Schwarzenegger & Stallone To Team Up For The Tomb

As he looks to re-ignite his film career in the wake of his gubernatorial stint and last year’s scandal-filled revelations, Arnold Schwarzenegger seems keen to keep working with old chum Sylvester Stallone , as Ain’t It Cool News is reporting that he’s been approached to co-star with Sly in The Tomb . It emerged back in October that Sly would take on the lead role of Ray Breslin, the designer behind a maximum-security prison that is said to be thoroughly escape-proof. But guess what? He’s framed for a crime and locked away in that very same slammer. Naturally, he must then essentially defeat himself to get out and find the person responsible… Arnie is no stranger to the film, having been up for the lead earlier last year when Antoine Fuqua was set to direct. And before that, Bruce Willis was the man circling the lead. From the sounds of it, The Tomb has been passed around more than the package in a pass-the-parcel game, but now Deadline is reporting that Sly is locked and M
