Marisa Tomei and Joshua Jackson have joined Alexander Siddig aboard the thriller Inescapable , which  Ruba Nadda wrote the script and will direct the story of a Syrian expatriate ( Siddig ) whose journalist daughter goes missing in Damascus, and he must return to his homeland to find her and calls on a former love ( Tomei ) to help him. An embassy official ( Jackson ) is at first helpful but may have an agenda of his own. Daniel Iron and Lance Samuels are producing. The clock has started on 24 , the feature version of the Imagine Entertainment/Fox series. The project brings back Kiefer Sutherland ’s tireless government operative Jack Bauer. Mark Bomback — a favorite writer at 20th Century Fox writing The Wolverine and Shadow Divers – is doing some last minute tweaking of Billy Ray’s script, and will turn it in by year’s end. Imagine and the studio have about five directors in mind — no, Tony Scott is not attached anymore — and it will all begin happening very quickly in the early part of next year. The goal is to get the film into production to match Sutherland’s availability, which begins in April. That should give producer Brian Grazer something to do after he completes producing the Academy Awards, and it is certainly good news for fans of the show who were beginning to fear the project wouldn’t happen. Warner Bros. has finally firmed up plans to preview the final installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy for holiday audiences. Finally a good reason to live in Sacramento. DARK KNIGHT RISES 6 Minute PROLOGOUE Description- A six-minute prologue sequence, that introduces Tom Hardy's villainous Bane, will air before screenings of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol in select IMAX theaters in the U.S. and Canada. The clip, which received a PG-13 rating from the MPAA, was shot on the IMAX 15 perf 65mm/70mm film that Nolan used for key action sequences during the film. The Dark Knight Rises arrives in theaters July 20, 2012. So far only a teaser trailer has been released. With a trailer making its debut at the VGAs, Marvel drops some info on the tie-in videogame for this summer's reboot to the Spider-Man movie franchise. You couldn't expect the summer to come up on us with a new Spider-Man movie and not get a new game from publisher Activision, could you? Well, there is a new one being developed by Beenox Studios, the team behind the most recent Spider-Man game, Edge of Time, which I thought was pretty solid, if a little constrained by its closed in environment.
