Remember that first, official photo of Henry Cavill as Superman in the upcoming movie Man of Steel ? While it wasn't clear from that shot whether or not Cavill was wearing the traditional red underpants, some new photos seem to have settled the matter. A series of pictures taken on the set and posted at the Man of Steel Facebook page appear to show quite definitively that Cavill is not wearing the red trunks that have been part of Superman's costume since the very beginning. So now we can guess why that initial photo deliberately kept Kal-El's mid-section in the shadows—director Zack Snyder and the film's producers (which include Christopher Nolan) wanted to keep the full costume a mystery and not necessarily set off alarm bells with Superman purists. The clip is from a Japaneses commercial promoting the deleted scenes for the upcoming DVD release of  X-Men: First Class Exhibit A: Consider this deleted scene from X-Men: First Class , included in the DVD out Sept. 9. Djimon Hounsou is the latest heavenly figure to join the cast of " Paradise Lost " for Legendary. Alex Proyas is on board to helm with Bradley Cooper and Ben Walker set to star. Based on the 17th century poem by John Milton , the story revolves around the epic war in heaven between archangels Lucifer ( Cooper ) and Michael ( Walker ), including the latter's role in Adam and Eve's fall from grace. Hounsou will play Abdiel , the angel of death. Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing with Vincent Newman via his Vincent Newman Entertainment banner. Stuart Hazeldine developed the primary draft of the screenplay, originally written by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi. True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard is in talks to join Brit Marling in The East , a thriller Marling co-wrote with her The Sound of My Voice collaborator Zal Batmanglij, who is directing. While plot details are hazy, the story revolves around a female agent who infiltrates an eco-terrorist group. The title of the movie refers to the group’s name. If a deal comes together, Skarsgard would play the leader of the group who seeks revenge against unethical corporations. Michael Costigan of Scott Free Prods. is producing the movie, which is eyeing a tentative Nashville shoot in October and November. Fox Searchlight, which released Marling’s Another Earth and is opening Sound of My Voice , will likely distribute the film.
