If you have ever been to Comic-Con you know how crazy and out of control the Warner Bros. booth gets with all their awesome swag and autograph signings they do for their shows. Looks like this year they are going to be following Comic-Con's official ticket distribution rules. So if you want those autographs from the cast of such shows as Chuck, Game of Thrones, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and more. Comic-Con and Warner Bros. Entertainment are announcing today that Warner Bros. will follow the official Comic-Con International: San Diego ticket distribution system for autograph signings at this year's event. As in years past, all signings will be held at the Warner Bros. booth, which is #4545 on the Comic-Con show floor. But under the long-standing Comic-Con system, Warner Bros. will distribute wristbands for signings via daily ticket drawings held at Sails Pavilion #9 inside the San Diego Convention Center. Thor actor Ray Stevenson has been cast as villain Firefly in Paramount’s G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes . The action movie, to be directed by Jon M. Chu, begins shooting in Louisiana at the end of summer and is slated for release in August 2012. Stevenson will appear opposite Channing Tatum and Dwayne Johnson in the film, which is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, and follows G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, a hit in 2009. Stevenson’s Firefly is a member of the villainous Cobra Organization and is known as a saboteur, ninja master and explosives expert. Other than Tatum, Cobra Strikes will feature an entirely new cast; in addition to franchise newcomers Johnson and Stevenson, the film will include Adrianne Palicki, Elodie Yung, RZA and D.J. The classic 1980s arcade game from Taito and Midway, which is ranked as the top arcade game of all time by Guinness World Records, is heading to the big screen courtesy of producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Odd Lot Entertainment’s Gigi Pritzker. The two have teamed up to option the rights and develop the project and are now on the hunt for a writer to come up with a story. One of the first video games, Space Invaders is credited with taking the medium from a sideshow attraction to a mainstream obsession. The shooter game was technically released in 1978 but made its pop culture mark by the turn of the decade. It featured rows upon rows of aliens (or their ships) raining laser death upon a lone player who took cover behind slowly disintegrating blocks. Relativity Media announced today that it has acquired North American rights from Lionsgate to theatrically market and distribute Machine Gun Preacher . Directed and produced by DGA and Golden Globe®-nominee Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, Monster’s Ball) and written by Jason Keller (Relativity’s Untitled Snow White Project), the film stars Gerard Butler (300) in a tour de force performance and will release in Los Angeles and New York on September 23, 2011. Warner Bros. is diving into the deep pool of the vampire genre, picking up Undying Love , a comic book mini-series published by Image Comics. Stephen L’Heureux and Benderspink, run by Chris Bender and J.C. Spink, are producing. Created by Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman, Love mixes up the traditional vampire lore with Chinese monster myths as well as the Hong Kong action genre. The story centers on an ex-soldier who falls for a girl that happens to be a vampire. The only way the two can be together is if the man takes on the vampire who created her, which also means fighting an army of monsters in the Hong Kong underworld. Coker and Freedman will write the script. Jake Weiner is exec producing while Ford Gilmore will co-produce. Benderspink, which recently renewed its deal at Warners sibling label New Line, is eyeing a fall start on the magician comedy Burt Wonderstone, which it is producing with Steve Carrell’s Carousel Prods.
