BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Dwayne Johnson's Roadblock To Play A Major Role In Upcoming G.I. Joe Sequel

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has come forward to explain his intentions behind the Jon M. Chu directed sequel G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes . Dwayne Johnson , also known to some as " The Rock ", recently joined this new adventure as Roadblock . As Lorenzo di Bonaventura tells it, this new addition to theatrical franchise will be one of the movie's two lead characters. "It's a full-on lead role. In a way, he and Snake-Eyes, their stories are really dynamic and very important. ( Dwayne Johnson ) is such a great character to have in 'G.I. Joe 2.' It's an amazing combination. We would not be very good if we didn't fully utilize him, so he's going to have a lot of things to do. It is an ensemble movie, so you have other characters certainly playing it out." Lorenzo di Bonaventura then went onto explain that this will essentially be a sequel tailored to the ninja fan. "The ninja fans are going to love it. There's a tremendous amo

The Dark Knight Rises Footage Appears Online

When it comes to Christopher Nolan films, everything's done under the radar. He's the Ethan Hunt of directors, so whenever there's a leaked photo or video we're like moths to a flame. Some amateur footage has surfaced from The Dark Knight Rises that features Anne Hathaway and Christian Bale , who look mighty comfortable together. The scene takes place on a rainy day, which it really isn't judging from the T-shirt wearing crew members on the street. From the looks of it, Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne are on a joint mission. Bruce knocks on the door of a house but gets no answer, so Selina walks up and whisks him away. We might be over-romanticizing the scene just a tad, but Selina does grab his hand. We're not sure who's supposed to be behind that door or why Bruce wants to talk to them, because we're more interested in the dynamic between him and Selina. Watch the footage after the Jump... Spike Lee Explains Why He Has Been Away From Hollywood

Spike Lee is not feeling the love from Hollywood’s money men. “I haven’t made a feature film in three years,”  Lee has lately focused on documentary work with two films about post-Katrina New Orleans for HBO. But he had designs on biopics about Jackie Robinson – the Brooklyn Dodgers slugger who broke baseball’s color line – and soul icon James Brown . And he was in discussions a while back for a sequel to thriller Inside Man , which starred Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster . But he's been unable to secure financing. “ Inside Man was my most successful film,” he said, adding that he had Washington and Foster on board for the sequel. “But we can’t get the sequel made. And one thing Hollywood does well is sequels. The film’s not getting made. We tired many times. It’s not going to happen.” Lee’s comments came during a free-wheeling Q&A session with public television’s Charlie Rose at PromaxBDA, the annual marketing, branding and design conference here. Lee

Matterhorn Ride Being Developed Into A Film

Disney is developing an adventure movie project inspired by the Matterhorn ride and has set Jason Dean Hall to pen the script. Justin Springer (Tron Legacy, Prom) is producing the project, which has a working title of The Hill . The Matterhorn , also known as the Matterhorn Bobsleds, is part of Disneyland’s Fantasyland section. Opened June 1959, the elaborate ride was inspired by Walt Disney's desire for a toboggan-themed roller coaster as well as thoughts he had after an extended trip to Switzerland, the site of the famed mountain. The ride, a centerpiece of the park, was refurbished in 1978, with one of the upgrades being the addition of three automatronic Abominable Snowmen (aka Yetis) who growl at riders. The idea behind The Hill is to do a thrilling, fast-paced movie centering on five young adventure seekers who, for mysterious reasons, are called to the top of the mountain and encounter a Yetis on the journey down. Adapting Disney rides into film franchises is a pri

Bridesmaids To Surpass Knocked Up At The BoxOffice

With hits like The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad , producer-director Judd Apatow has spent the past decade as Hollywood's king of guy humor. But the Apatow-produced, female-driven comedy Bridesmaids is on track to pass Knocked Up on Wednesday night as the highest-grossing domestic movie of Apatow's career. That’s not all. Projections show that by Sunday or Monday, Universal's Bridesmaids -- directed by Paul Feig -- will supplant Sex and the City as the top R-rated female comedy of all time domestically. Through Tuesday, Bridesmaids ' North America gross was $148.1 million, just behind Knocked Up , which cumed $148.8 million in 2007, and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby , which earned $148.2 million domestically in 2006. Barring unforeseen interference from the Transformers sequel, Bridesmaids should pass both those movies Wednesday night. Apatow directed and produced Knocked Up and produced Talladega Nights. Both were bigger hits overs
