"Cosmopolis" Robert Pattinson First Look

David Cronenberg‘s (Eastern Promises) daughter tweeted the first official picture from the upcoming film “ Cosmopolis " Starring Robert Pattinson & Juliette Binoche . “Cosmopolis" is based on the novel of the same name by Don DeLillo. The cast is rounded out by Jay Baruchel, Paul Giamatti and Mathieu Amalric . Cosmopolis is the story of Eric Packer ( Robert Pattinson) , a 28 year old multi-billionaire asset manager who makes an odyssey across midtown Manhattan in order to get a haircut. The stretch limo which adorns the cover of the book is richly described as highly technical and very luxurious, filled with television screens and computer monitors, bulletproofed and floored with Carrara marble. It is also cork lined to eliminate (though unsuccessfully, as Packer notes) the intrusion of street noise. Like James Joyce's Ulysses, Cosmopolis covers roughly one day of time and includes highly sexed women and the theme of father-son separation. Packer's voyage i

Ben Stiller Talks Zoolander 2

Empire talked to Ben Stiller about the trials and tribulations of bringing the much-loved comedy to the screen, as well as touching on the sequel. That’s right, Zoolander 2 , ladies and gentlemen – now with extra-added Magnum. So, the details: Boasting a strong European vibe, it’ll take place 10 years after Zoolander, with Derek and Hansel cast aside by an industry in which, “ten years is a thousand years. They’re both totally out of it and have to start from scratch.” “And then there are things set up at the end of the first movie that we’re able to build on, like Derek and Matilda have a son, and Mugatu went to jail. There’s a lot there, I’m excited about the idea of doing it. It feels like it’s getting close to going.” Close to going, you say? Really? Stuart Cornfeld, Stiller’s producing partner since Zoolander, seems slightly less optimistic about its appearance on the big screen, saying: “It’s hard to get any movie made. It’s frustrating, because I believe the script is inc

George Lucas Talks Everything Star Wars

Back in 2005, George Lucas announced that the Star Wars universe would get two television shows: an animated show (The Clone Wars, which hit the big and little screen in 2008) and a live-action show set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Now Lucas finally explains why the live-action show "sits on a shelf." During an interview with G4TV, Lucas explained that 50 hours of a Star Wars television show are waiting ... for a new way of making movies. Moviemaking is very expensive, and Lucas wants to bring the same quality to the television show, but at a fraction of the price. The good news is Lucas plans on revolutionizing the way movies are made, which WILL cut the cost to a fraction of what it is now. Say what you want about the most recent trilogy, but Lucas has always been a leader when it comes to filmmaking technology: One of his companies, Skywalker Sound, has provided post-production sound services for over 500 movies and television shows;
