Fast Five Movie Review By: SandwichJohn I was walking into the theater not knowing how I felt about this Franchise, same movie just told in a different way. I was making fun of my friends that were so excited for this movie to come out. Maybe in the same way they were laughing when I lined out overnight to watch the Star Wars films. All I have to say is Fast Five blew me away. Forget that it is apart of the Fast And Furious franchise. This movie could hold it's own. Can't you tell how excited I am. The movie is a guys wet dream, Hot Cars, Hot Woman (Yes, ladies Hot Guys too) and more action than you could ask for. We all know going into this film that there weren't going to be any kind of Oscar caliber performances from the actors. But if action or driving could grant you an Oscar then everyone in this film would be getting one. Besides Johnson, producers are Dany Garcia, Randy Jackson and Pride's manager John Daines in association with Sony ATV Music Publishing. Country Music Hall of Famer Pride, one of 11 children born to Mississippi sharecroppers, has charted more than three dozen No. 1 singles and has sold more than 70 million records. Armie Hammer’s star power continues to roll on. The actor, who played the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network , is attached to star in 2:22 , a psychological thriller from Lightstream Pictures that will be selling at the Cannes International Film Festival. Lightstream co-founder Paul Currie will direct from a script by Todd Stein and Nathan Parker. 2:22 is described as a “rollercoaster thriller that centers on Dylan ( Hammer ) an air traffic controller who is given a jolt when he narrowly escapes being responsible for a mid air collision between two passenger planes. Steven Soderbergh and Channing Tatum , who worked together on the action-thriller Haywire (out this August), are reteaming for Magic Mike , a drama set in the world of male strippers. Tatum is to play Magic Mike, who schools a young dancer in the tricks of the trade. The project draws on the actor’s real-life experiences as a stripper when he was a 19-year-old in Tampa. The start date for the privately financed pic is yet to be determined. The film will be produced by Nick Wechsler, Gregory Jacobs, Tatum and Reid Carolin, who is also writing the script. “When Channing talked to me about this, I thought it was one of the best ideas I’d ever heard for a movie. Northern California boy  Jeremy Renner continues his march toward Hollywood domination. The two-time Oscar nominee, who has been on an upward trajectory since starring in best picture winner The Hurt Locker, has formed The Combine, a production company he will run with partner Don Handfield. And the company is hitting the ground running, developing a Steve McQueen biopic that will serve as a starring vehicle for the actor. While other Martin Luther King projects seem to be on the ropes, DreamWorks’ untitled MLK biopic is starting to come together. Kario Salem, best known for writing the 2001 Robert De Niro-Edward Norton drama The Score , is in negotiations to pen the project, which also sees Warner Bros. coming on board to co-finance and to distribute with Disney’s Touchstone label. (Disney is where DreamWorks is housed.) DreamWorks acquired the life rights of the civil rights leader in May 2009, with Sam Nappi, Suzanne de Passe and Madison Jones on board as producers. Not only did it secure the cooperation of the King estate, the studio also has access to King's intellectual property, including his famous "I Have a Dream" speech.
