Argonaut Pictures Welcome To The Rileys Movie Review By: Windy City Gal / @rosenfie *Spoiler Alert* Welcome to the Rileys , directed by Jake Scott (HBO Voyeur Project) and starring James Gandolfini (The Taking of Pelham 123, The Sopranos), Melissa Le o (Everybody’s Fine) and Kristen Stewart (The Runaways, The Twilight Saga) is the story of a couple (Gandolfini and Leo) who’s marriage is all but over due to the tragic death of their teenage daughter, but find comfort and redemption with a teenage runaway (Stewart). Tired of his depressing life and agoraphobic wife, “ Doug Riley ” (Gandolfini) decides to stay in New Orleans after a convention when he meets a 16-year old runaway stripper/prostitute, “ Mallory ” (Stewart). Mallory, who is mature beyond her years in some ways and still a child in others, isn’t willing to admit the comfort she desires from a real family. By: Jonathan Cyfer Chris Nolan recently released the name of the third Batman film he will direct and also specifically stated that the Riddler will not be the villain . Early buzz targeted Johnny Depp for the Riddler role in the third Batman film but now we see this is not going to happen. So who will be the main bad guy or bad gal? We also recently learned that Nolan is looking for a female lead for this film, which immediately brings Catwoman to mind, but that's hardly a foregone conclusion, since Poison Ivy or Harley Quinn are equally (or almost) compelling choices. Also, the female lead doesn't have to be a villain, since there have been a number of "good girls" to work opposite Batman over the years such as Vicki Vale and Barbara (Batgirl) Gordon. Avatar 2 & Avatar 3 Got Their Release Dates It’s official: James Cameron is going back to Pandora not just for his next film, but also for his next two. Mr. Cameron, the filmmaker behind the 3-D blockbuster “Avatar,” joined 20th Century Fox in announcing that he would make “Avatar 2 ” and “ Avatar 3 ” as his next two movies, with the first of the sequels scheduled for release in December 2014 , and the second for December of the following year . That assures a lot of fantasy-filled Decembers, as Peter Jackson has already scheduled a pair of “ Hobbit ” films for Warner Brothers and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in that month in the years 2012 and 2013. “Avatar” was released on Dec. 18 of last year and became the highest-grossing film in history, with almost $2.8 billion in worldwide ticket sales. And People Riddler Will Not Be In The Film Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film will be called “ The Dark Knight Rises ” and though the Gotham City auteur isn’t ready to reveal the villain of his 2012 film, he did eliminate one of the big contenders: “It won’t be the Riddler,” Nolan said. Nolan was most eager to talk about the fact that Warner Bros. had agreed with his argument that the film should resist the current 3-D craze and instead use high-definition approaches and IMAX cameras to strike out on a different cinematic path than the stereoscopic technology that, for better or worse, has become the dominant conversation in the blockbuster sector. UFC 121 Fighter Salaries And Medical Updates The UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Velasquez fighter salaries were released on Tuesday by officials at the California State Athletic Commission. The main event featured Cain Velasquez finishing off Brock Lesnar in the opening round to capture the UFC heavyweight championship. Even though Brock lost the fight he is still a winner in the salary department. The event took place on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., before 14,856 fans. The following figures are based on the fighter salary information that promoters are required by law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners’ bonuses. Any undisclosed bonuses that a promoter also pays its fighters, but does not disclose to the athletic commissions (such as pay-per-view bonuses), are not included in the figures below.
