Megan Fox  Joins "Friends With Kids" Megan Fox is joining " Friends With Kids ," an ensemble comedy from Jennifer Westfeldt . Westfeldt wrote the script and will star as well as produce with her partner Jon Hamm . She also will direct, with a hand from Mike Nichols and Jake Kasdan, who are executive producing. The project already has cast Adam Scott and Kristen Wiig for the story, which revolves around a pair of thirtysomething best friends who observe the toll that having kids has taken on the couples they know and resolve to bypass that stress by having a child and then date other people. Scott and Westfeldt will play the lead couple; Wiig and Hamm will play another. A third couple has not been cast. Fox will play a girl who Scott begins to date. Contraband To Star Mark Wahlberg & Kate Beckinsale Universal will bring us Contraband , the English language remake of the 2008 Icelandic film Reykjavic-Rotterdam . Mark Wahlberg is set to star, Kate Beckinsale is negotiating, and Baltasar Kormakur is set to direct. Kormakur starred in, produced and co-wrote the original. Oskar Jonasson directed the original, in which Kormakur played a former smuggler trying to go straight as a night guard. When his wife’s brother (who got him the job) botches a smuggling run, his life threatened and the protagonist is dragged in for one more job. Universal, originally intended to finance the film, then passed when the budget came in at $40 million. Relativity Media stepped in, but encouraged the filmmakers to try bringing down the cost. The filmmakers brought the budget down to around $30 million. A $30 million drama with Wahlberg and Beckinsale is a package any studio would jump at. Star Tours Update And Photos We have reported before that Star Tours ride in currently going through an upgrade. Randy ( Arnoldfans ) and myself were one of the lucky few who got to attend the very last ride of the original Star Tours on July 26,2010.  Star Tours 2.0 , which is set to open up in May of 2011. The most recent info is that it will be called "Star Tours: The Adventures Continue" New destinations will include Tatooine and Coruscant. And the new ride will be set in-between the two Star Wars trilogies. The Star Tours vehicle is now going to be chased by Boba Fett .  C3PO and R2-D2 are still the hosts… Admiral Ackbar holographically communicates with the Star Tours vehicle." CBS produced a memorable series featuring the jade giant that ran from 1978-82 and starred Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno . At the end of the decade, ABC followed up with three TV movies that featured incarnations of Marvel heroes Daredevil and Thor . Vanessa Hudgens To Have A Journey On A Mysterious Island Vanessa Hudgens is in final negotiations to play the female lead in New Line’s “ Journey 2: The Mysterious Island ,” the sequel to “ Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D .” Brad Peyton is on board to direct the film, in which Josh Hutcherson is reprising his role as burgeoning explorer Sean Anderson. Dwayne Johnson is also starring in the pic being produced by Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson of Contrafilm. The story sees Hutcherson and Johnson forced to go a trip to a mythical and monstrous island to find his missing grandfather. The script is loosely based on Jules Verne's "The Mysterious Island."
