Guillermo del Toro Leaves Tom Cruise's Van Helsing It was announced that  Guillermo del Toro 's next project will be At the Mountains of Madness for Universal Pictures. For him to make this film he had to leave one on the table. There was rumbling in Hollywood not to long ago that del Toro was interested in developing a Van Helsing film project for Universal. Well, he's no longer attached to this film. However, even with del Toro gone, we hear that Cruise remains attached to the project and he could possibly be starring in the film and producing. Inception Is On Top Again For Third Week It looked like Dinner for Schmucks might actually be enough to topple the current box office champion, Inception. But by the end of play Sunday, Christopher Nolan’s Cobb and the team pulled off another victory to give the dream thieves a third week atop the charts in the States, Inception nabbing $27.5 million and the Schmucks running away with $23.3 million. Salt slipped down to third place, taking $19.2 million, while Despicable Me stole $15.5 million for fourth. But even the kiddie/3D cash boost factor couldn’t save Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore , with the animal spies sequel bringing in just $12.5 million, which hopefully means this might be the end for the franchise. That said, given the nine-year wait between the first two, maybe we should be wary that, like a horror movie villain, another one could spring up in a decade. He wrote several of the Underworld films and directed two of them, he also directed the action packed Live Free or Die Hard. But the best part of his life is that he gets to wake up next to Kate Beckinsale . For all you out there who were to young or have never heard of the film it was based on It is based on the Philip K. Dick story " We Can Remember It for You Wholesale . Rise Of The Apes First Look A prequel to the original 1968 Planet of the Apes . The film will be directed by Rupert Wyatt and will be released on June 24, 2011. Unlike previous films in the series, the apes in the film will be created digitally using CGI technology. The photo below shows us James Franco, Freida Pinto and Andy Serkis filming a scene from the movie. Serkis is playing an ape in the film which is why he's sporting the motion capture suit. This will be the second time he's played a monkey in a movie, the first was for Peter Jackson's King Kong. Sasha Grey To Star In "I Melt With You" Sasha Grey , the adult-film star who toplined Steven Soderbergh's " The Girlfriend Experience ," is in negotiations to join the cast of " I Melt With You ," the low-budget drama being directed by Mark Pellington. Grey, along with Zander Eckhouse, Abhi Sinha and Arielle Kebbel, are joining Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven in the drama, which Pellington wrote with Glen Porter.
