"War of Gods" To Star Twilight's Kellan Lutz If you live on another planet then just maybe you have no idea who Kellen Lutz is, he is one of the stars in the Twilight series and plays Emmett Cullen.  He will be playing Poseidon in the upcoming film "War Of Gods." The film is a Greek myth fantasy film that centers on the conflict between the Greek gods and the elder gods known as the Titans, whose king, Hyperion (Mickey Rourke), is on a murderous rampage across Greece.  Jason Keller worked on the most recent draft of the screenplay, which also was worked on by Christian Gudegast and Charley and Vlas Parlapanides. Twilight Saga: Eclipse One-Sheet Here is the new one-sheet theatrical poster for the upcoming Twilight Sage: Eclipse. The film is due out on June 30, 2010. This is the third movie in the based on Stephenie Meyer's novel of the same name. Popeye CG Film Headed Our Way To me the only film I want to see about Popeye is the film that starred Robin Williams (in his first film role) as Popeye and Shelley Duvall as Olive Oyl. Popeye features hallmarks of director Robert Altman's style, including an ensemble cast, overlapping dialogue and cross-cutting to non-musical sequences during songs by Harry Nilsson. Sony is bringing an all-CGI "Popeye" to the big screen, with the iconic sailor man's muscles set to pop in 3D. Avi Arad, who teamed with Sony to turn Spider-Man into a powerhouse franchise, is producing. Scribe Mike Jones is in negotiations to adapt. "Scott called me and said, 'I have something for you,'" said Arad, who grew up watching Popeye shorts in movie houses in his native Israel. "I literally started singing the famous Popeye song (after securing the rights). What always blew me away is the level of the animation. It was so beautiful and unbelievably detailed." P

Spy Hunter Film To Become A Reality? I bet you guys forgot about this little project and looks like it is back in the news again. Back in 2003 Universal Pictures was thinking of making this film and having it star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, but it never happened, well looks like they are going to rev up the engines on this one again. Warners obtained the rights when it bought Midway for $33 million in July. The studio, which bought the title as part of its acquisition of Midway Games last year, has tapped Chad St. John to pen the script for a feature adaptation. St. John is becoming a Warners favorite. The scribe wrote the time-travel spec "The Days Before" for Warners, which signed him to a two-pic deal. A remake of "Outland" and the action project "Motor City" followed. Get Him To The Greek Red-Band Trailer Universal Pictures has released a new red-band trailer for the Forgetting Sarah Marshall spin-off comedy Get Him To The Greek. The film, which was also written by Stoller , is scheduled for release in June of 2010. Get Him to the Greek is a spin-off from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, reuniting director Stoller with stars Hill and Brand. Brand reprises his character Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, while Hill plays an entirely new character. The film was originally titled Get Me to the Gig. I have never been a huge fan of Russell Brand but I did enjoy his role is Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and if your sense of humor is like mine they I am sure you will enjoy this film. Transformers 3 Cast Update and New Autobot We have got some new Transformers 3 news, first up Michael Bay has let us know that Frances McDormand and John Malkovich have been cast in the film. A surprise casting is Ken Jeong the super funny actor stuck in the trunk from “Hangover” and the Doctor from “Knocked Up.” Maybe he wants to add more comedy to the film, we are not sure which roles all three actors will be playing but more info to come soon. Howgwarts Burns To The Ground The set of The Howgwarts for the final Harry Potter film has been destroyed in a blaze as they were filming the final battle scene. If you have read the book then you will know the scene in which the fire happened and if you haven't stop reading now. The set that burnt down while they were filming the scene involved a Battle of Hogwarts scenes involve Harry raising an army of students to defend the school from evil wizard Voldemort. Explosives set light to scenery at the school of magic as cast and crew shot the Battle of Hogwarts climax for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Fire crews battled for 40 minutes to bring the flames under control but the set was wrecked. Two New Kick-Ass Clips With the release date for the film approaching we are starting to see some more clips of the film to get the word out about the movie. Matthew Vaughn-directed adaptation of the Mark Millar, John Romita Jr. comic-book Kick-Ass is almost here. We have a couple of new Clips for you from the film. In the first clip, which debuted at MTV, Red Mist shows Kick-Ass all the gaits on his Mistmobile, a little like Jame Bond. Chris Evans To Play Captain America The wait is over and now we have confirmation that Chris Evans will play Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. Sources tell us the actor has not only accepted Marvel's offer, first detailed on Friday, but that the dealmaking moved so fast it's now all about dotting the i's and crossing the t's. Evans was offered the role in Marvel Studios' production last week, but there was some question of whether he would accept. Factoring in to the choice was the fact that Evans played Johnny Storm, the flame-covered superhero known as the Human Torch in Fox's "Fantastic Four" movies.
