Saw Franchise Coming To An End

Saw Franchise Coming To An End Looks like a franchise is going to becoming to an end. About time I feel that the first 3 films were great and a great concept of horror films and now they just seem repetitive and are just stretching the story. They good guys over at Latino Review talked to Melton: "I think it's going to end with Saw VII. I have a very strong feeling its going to end with Saw VII. That's something we're debating now. You saw in previous interviews or discussions where we thought Saw VIII would be the last one where we had the first trilogy and the second trilogy and then sort of a grand finale wrapped up in two films. But frankly because Saw VI hasn't performed as well as we anticipated, the idea is well why make two movies when we can make one really excellent movie that wraps up as best we can? And it's going to be in 3-D which sort of adds to the spectacle. So if you had to ask me, I don't own the franchise, nor do I run the studio, but

Crazy Heart Movie Review By:Windy

Crazy Heart Movie Review By:Windy SandwichJohnFilms Residential movie reviewer went out and saw Crazy Heart and came in with this review. Also stop by Windy's home page and let her know what a great job she is doing. And this ain’t no place for the weary kind And this ain’t no place to lose your mind And this ain’t no place to fall behind Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try “Crazy Heart”, starring Jeff Bridges, opens with Bridges’ familiar tin singing a country tune. His voice is immediately recognizable and the melody of the song sets the tone for the film: lost, somber, perhaps even helpless. Bad Blake, as Bridges’ character is known in the film, is a stereotypical down-and-out country singer who’s had one too many whiskeys, way too many women, and far too many years without a hit. He isn’t pretty to look at – disheveled, pants unbuttoned, visibly drunk and at times stumbling. However, Bridges brings a unique honesty and humbleness to the role. He’s an actor w

Tom Cruise Is Set For Mission Impossible 4

Tom Cruise Is Set For Mission Impossible 4 Ah snaps with my finger in a Z formation. Tom Cruise will be coming back as Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible 4. This is really great news for me having a man crush on TC. Screenwriters Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec are already attached to write the script. The intention is to make this Cruise's next film and start shooting by summer for a Memorial Day 2011 weekend release. And I can definitively say that, despite chatter to the contrary, IM4 will be very much of an Ethan Hunt pic with Cruise as the main character. " I hear Paramount is really excited about relaunching the franchise, which has grossed over $1.4 billion globally. “Tom and J.J. are great talents and we are excited to be working with them to re-launch this legendary franchise,” said Paramount Pictures Chairman & CEO Brad Grey. Terminator Franchise Sold To Underdog

Terminator Franchise Sold To Underdog Doesn't look like Skynet had enough cash to buy the franchise, and it is in the hands of Pacificor. Is this the company that starts SkyNet? Maybe we should ask our friends over at TheArnoldFans . I know they would have the answer. The franchise sold to Pacificor yes the same Santa Barbara-based hedge fund Pacificor. (This is the same Pacificor whom Halcyon accused in a lawsuit of extortion, bribery, and fraud and demanded $30M in damages.) Say what? Furious Sony Pictures Entertainment and Lionsgate bidding war was going on and then Bam Pacificor sneaks right in and Terminates them both at the last Minute. Sony and Lionsgate dropped out at just under $29.5 million when it became clear that Pacificor "was willing to pay almost any amount of money for Terminator," an insider tells me. Halcyon will receive $5 million for every Terminator movie made from now on, as well as retains the rich revenue streams from the movies Terminator 3 and 4

Just sounds like a bad idea, Hollywood movie studios have faith in her, which u can not argue with.Heigl last film "The Ugly Truth," earned more than $200 million in worldwide.Go figure. I really have no idea why she appeals to people? Evanovich's Plum series is up to 15 novels, all with titles that have a number theme. A 16th Plum novel hits shelves this summer. Reese Witherspoon was previously attached to take on the role, but the project has been dormant for several years. 24 Movie Getting Closer To Reality

24 Movie Getting Closer To Reality Looks like Jack Bauer might be making his way to the big screen soon. Fox hasn't decide to pick the show up for the 9th season yet, but there is talks that Billy Ray ( Man behind State of Play) Maybe writing a script. Looks like it is all going to depend on how the ratings for the show are this year to whether they make the movie. In January, star Kiefer Sutherland told EW that he’d love to do a movie (“It would be a two-hour representation of a day”) and thinks the TV show can actually be done at the same time. ”I actually tried to convince a few people of this. In a media world that is changing unbelievably fast, a television series can either act as a great trailer for a film, or a film can act as a great trailer for a television series. And I think the first person who actually does that is going to change the way television interacts with feature films. “I think the resistance to it is because, in my father’s generation, if you did film

"Contagion" Up Next For Matt Damon

"Contagion" Up Next For Matt Damon So just how good is Scott Z. Burns' "Contagion" script? It's so good that Steven Soderbergh decided to push everything else aside to fast track it for a fall start. An action-thriller about the outbreak of a deadly virus, from what we've heard, Burns' script is a multi-strand film not unlike the Academy award-winning "Traffic" that Soderbergh helmed in 2000. Our sources tell us the story takes place over four continents and is "terrifying." The project has attracted the likes of Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Marion Cotillard who all have deals closing to star in the film. With the cast in place, Soderbergh and his people are now shopping the project around town with co-financing already in place from Participant Productions. Undoubtedly with a great cast already locked, and with comparisons to "Traffic" and "Bourne" being thrown around, this one will get snapped up q

Tim Robbins Joins Green Lantern Cast

Tim Robbins Joins Green Lantern Cast Tim Robbins has joined the cast of Green Lantern in the role of Senator Hammond, whose disapproving parental style is one of the reasons that Dr Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard ) ends up turning evil. The other reason, of course, is that Hammond Jr becomes infused with psychic powers from a strange meteorite and goes insane. As you do. Martin Campbell has recruited Robbins to the cast to star alongside Ryan Reynolds (as our hero) and Blake Lively (as his love interest, Carol Ferris). They’ll be reporting to the set in March to start shooting and Robbins also be no doubt hoping that this comic book film appearance wipes his early dabble with the genre off his CV, in the infamous Howard The Duck.
