BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Daniel Craig To Star In Cowboys and Aliens

Daniel Craig To Star In Cowboys and Aliens As we wrote before that Dainel Craig may star in the upcoming film. It has been confirmed he will star in the movie. Daniel Craig has closed his deal to star in Cowboys and Aliens for DreamWorks and Universal, as I predicted. Craig will star in an adaptation of Fred Van Lente's graphic novel that was published by Platinum Studios and revolves around cowboys and Native Americans who put aside their Old West differences to battle invading aliens. Craig will play the lead cowboy Zeke Jackson, replacing Robert Downey Jr who exited to jump right back to the Sherlock Holmes sequel. While he likely won't identify himself as "Jackson, Zeke Jackson," Craig has put himself in an enviable position: Cowboys and Aliens has franchise potential. And it will keep him busy while the James Bond/MGM situation plays out. Brian Grazer is producing with Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and Platinum Studios' Scott

M. Night Shyamalan Talks Avatar: The Last Airbender

M. Night Shyamalan Talks Avatar: The Last Airbender And now for that other "Avatar" movie... For M. Night Shyamalan, it was his then 7-year old daughter who hooked him on the Nickelodeon series “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” “She made us watch as a family and all four of us were hooked, “ Shyamalan said. “I was like, 'This would make a killer movie. And my wife who really has been kind of in neutral about my career was insane about it. Insane about it: ‘You have to do it. This is it. This is the one.' ” M Night Shyamalan by Jennifer S Altman Ever since he shot to stardom with his film “The Sixth Sense” in 1999, Hollywood has tempted Shyamalan with franchise offers including, he says, an overture about directing the first “Harry Potter” film. He turned down all the other offers, but “Airbender,” with its fusion of Eastern philosophies and martial arts grabbed him. The series is set in a world where the four ancient elements -- fire, earth, water and air -- can be mani

Star Trek's Zachary Quinto Clears The Air About Star Trek 2

Star Trek's Zachary Quinto Clears The Air About Star Trek 2 Star Trek's Zachary Quinto is clarifying remarks he made to Wired that he was taking a break from the franchise for two years. Here's what he said: "I'm stepping away from Star Trek for at least two years—no movies, no conventions, no anything for a while," Quinto told Wired.com in a telephone interview. His planned absence from geekdom was a major motivation for doing the new game. "I did this game to make an investment in the fan base," the actor said. But on his Twitter feed Thursday, Quinto elaborated on what he meant: to clarify: i've been inundated w/questions/confusion about a comment i made during an interview w/ @wired re: atari star trek online game in which i said i'm stepping away from trek for next 2 yrs. obviously, i'll be a part of any upcoming films, reprising my role as spock. what i meant was that in the meantime i won't be making appearances related

Miramax Is No More. Shut Down

Miramax Is No More. Shut Down But a lot of other people around the movie business mourned the impending loss of a label that once set the bar for taste and artistry. (Update Thursday: A Disney spokeswoman called to protest that Miramax is not 'dead.' "Miramax will consoldiate its operations within Walt Disney Studios, and will be releasing a smaller number of films than in previous years. But it will continue to operate within the Walt Disney Studios," she said.) Over 31 years, the movie company that for most of its existence was led by founders Harvey and Bob Weinstein brought the public enduring stories that plumbed the depths of human emotion (“My Left Foot”) and pushed the boundaries of cultural barriers (“Reservoir Dogs”). When we think of the movies that defined the latter part of the 20th century -- the movies that mattered, that stories that hit pop culture like a hammer and left a dent -- more often than not they came from Miramax. “The Piano.” “Pulp Ficti

Porn In 3D, Are You Ready?

Porn In 3D, Are You Ready? Should have seen this one coming. Porn in 3D, why has it taken them so long to jump on this bandwagon. Longtime Italian erotic film director Tinto Brass on Thursday announced that he would produce what he called the world's first-ever 3D pornographic production. Brass, 76, best known for his 1979 film "Caligula," which he directed in collaboration with noted author Gore Vidal and magazine publisher Bob Guccione, said the time is right for 3D technologies to be used to create an erotic film. He noted that the project, which he said will be the world's first 3D erotic film, will also be the first 3D film of any type made in Italy. Brass said that with the film he plans to "revisit an abandoned project about a Roman emperor that was ruined by Americans, and go from there," a reference to "Caligula," which he has criticized because of hard-core sex scenes added during postproduction without his consent. He said he would start

Zac Efron Heading Into The "Fire"

Zac Efron Heading Into The "Fire" The list of young actors who transition to adult leading men isn’t that long... Tom Cruise, Sean Penn, Christian Bale, etc. Zac Efron is hoping to make that transition so he’s linked himself to a pair of projects he hopes will give him the chance to broaden his range. One of them would be his first action turn, in a Ludlum-esque spy thriller. Efron has a just made a deal at Universal for Fire, an adaptation of a graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis that was published by Image Comics. The plan is for Efron to play a college student who is recruited by the CIA, only to find that he has been trained for a program that creates expendable agents. Bendis, the fanboy favorite whose comic book creations include "Ultimate Spider-Man", will write the script. While little material moves during Sundance, Efron and Bendis got the deal after they schlepped around to three studios, pitching the project on a rainy day last Friday. The project has

Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps Teaser Trailer

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Teaser Trailer Director Oliver Stone has often reflected upon the nation's past in such films as Platoon,Born on the Fourth of July,JFK and Nixon. But, unlike history, he doesn't like to repeat himself. Until now, that is, when Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, the sequel to his 1987 descent into the dirty business of corporate raiding, opens this spring. The film is set 23 years after the first film, in June 2008,and Gordon Gekko has just been released from prison. Despite his initial attempts to warn Wall Street of the forthcoming economic downturn and stock market crash, no one believes him due to his reduced standing in the financial world. Due to their time apart, and the fact that Winnie( Carey Mulligan ) blames Gekko for her brother Rudy's suicide, she avoids any contact with him. At the same time, the mentor( Lewis Zabel ) of yo
