Paul Reubens Talks Pee Wee Movie And Star Wars Paul Reubens is in the mist of a comeback to the stage and big screen. I was never a fan of Pee Wee's Playhouse, the fact that I lived in Japan during the time the show was on air. Could be one of the reasons. I did love his role in Cheech & Chong's Next Movie . Classic. Reubens has been on a roller coaster ride with his career, but who doesn't love a comeback story? After 18 or so years, he's back. The Pee Wee Show is a live stage show now playing at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. It's a stage version of his Playhouse television program and it is absolutely fantastic. It really was a lot of fun. Johnny Depp Confirmed To Play Pancho Villa The film, which will star Johnny Depp and Salma Hayek, will now be called Wild Roses, Tender Roses and will shoot in Spanish. It is being developed and produced through French production company Fidelite. It will shoot in Spain and at Kusturica’s studio Kustendorf, the village he built in Serbia. The No Smoking Orchestra, which Kusturica is a member of, will provide the music for the film, which is billed as an epic in the style of Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns and Sam Peckinpah’s The Wild Bunch. “This is going to be my biggest movie. I will be doing it without compromise,” . Depp was in Serbia last week for the third Kustendorf Film Festival, where he received The Award For Future Movies and had a full-length statue unveiled in his honour. Book Of Eli Movie Review By:Sandwichjohn I had high hopes for Book of Eli, as I do for any Denzel Washington film, and while it didn’t quite live up to my high hopes it was still a good film. Denzel Washington stars as Eli, the protector of the last known copy of a certain book. It has been 31 years since “the flash” and subsequent war destroyed the world as we know it. The world now is a desolate waste land where water is scarce and books are scarcer. Gary Oldman stars as Carnegie, a corrupted mayor in a makeshift town that Eli wanders into. Carnegie has become obsessed with finding a copy of the book, he believes the words of the book have great power and that he could become a great leader with it. Mila Kunis stars as Solara, the daughter of Carnegie’s companion, who follows Eli after he escapes from the town. The action sequences were really well done. Karate Kid Remake Scores Huge On Test Screening I don't care how high the movie scores it will never compare to the original film. Generation Xers may have bemoaned the redo of their 1984 childhood favorite The Karate Kid (I know I did) with none other than silver spooner Jaden Smith taking on the Ralph Macchio role. But, perhaps the results from Sony’s early test screening of the movie from director Harold Zwart (The Pink Panther) will win converts to rejiggering Mr. Miyagi’s karate-lessons-hidden-in-manual labor. (Jackie Chan takes on the Wax on, Wax off mentor role.) The studio tells EW that the film scored just below Sony’s highest research screening ever, 2005’s Hitch, which ironically starred Jaden Smith’s dad Will, the last reigning movie star. With positive scores in the 97th percentile, the movie, which doesn’t open until June 11, might be one of those films that outdoes everyone’s expectations. Tekken Movie Trailer The first trailer for the upcoming Movie Tekken . The movie is based on the early 90's video game that everyone was crazy for and has now been made into a film. I have never been much of a video game made into a movie fan. I know you all remember Street Fighter ." But the movie doesn't look half bad from the trailer. Not a film I am going to go rush out to see but maybe something when there is absolutely nothing to do. Also the person who put the the trailer is not a fan of /Films. Bill Murray Added To The Cast Of Passion Play Even as Mitch Glazer continues shooting his new drama Passion Play, there are changes afoot as Bill Murray has been added to the cast. According to Production Weekly , Murray is taking over the role of dangerous gangster Happy Shannon in the film, which already boasts the likes of Megan Fox, Mickey Rourke and Kelly Lynch. Fox plays an angel - no, really - who Rourke's down-on-his-luck trumpet player saves from Murray's mobster. And he, in return, finds redemption in her. The cameras are cranking even now in New Mexico and the movie should arrive later in the year, assuming it nabs a distribution deal over here.
