Chris Pine To Star Ben Afflecks "Blade Itself"

Chris Pine To Star Ben Afflecks "Blade Itself" I had no reservations with Chris Pine playing Captain Kirk. I really enjoyed his role as Darwin Tremor in Smokin' Aces . And you know he will be tied to the Star Trek Franchise for a long while. I feel that he is a versatile enough actor to take on a more serious role in a film. I am curious to see what he can do with this movie. In late 2007, soon after the critical success of Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone, it was announced that Affleck, along with his writing and producing partner on Gone, Sean Bailey, had adapted the rights to Marcus Sakey’s crime novel, The Blade Itself. The novel is about two childhood friends — boys who grew up committing petty crimes with one another — who are reunited and discover how different they have become as adults. One of the men will have to make a tough decision if he wants to protect the secrets of his past. The novel was set in Chicago, though with Affleck and Bailey invol

Sylvester Stallone Talks Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis In 'Expendables'

Sylvester Stallone Talks Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis In 'Expendables' EW got an Exclusive with Sylvester Stallone and talked to him about the roles that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis will be playing in the upcoming film "Expendables" If you were in your teens in the late 80's early 90's you always thought how cool would it be to see Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone in a film together kicking ass. Well your time has come. “I was just looking at the dailies, saying, ‘Jesus, this is amazing!’ I talked about this scene with these guys for a long time, but I never thought it would come to fruition.” Stallone said the superstar-summit scene takes place in a church, where Willis’ nasty antagonist has summoned Stallone’s macho mercenary to finally meet him face-to-face, take measure of him, and possibly hire him for a death-defying mission. But just as the meeting gets under way and smartass smalltalk is made, in walks anot

“Ouija” Movie Has Found It's Writers

“Ouija” Movie Has Found It's Writers Universal has tapped “Tron Legacy” writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz to pen the board game-to-screen adaptation, which is being produced by Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form as well as Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir of Hasbro. The studio is looking at the project as a supernatural action-adventure movie. It is possible that certain rules of the game — never use it alone, never use it in a graveyard, always say good-bye — figure into the plot. Ouija boards, also known as spirit or talking boards, have been used to communicate with the spirit world for more than 200 decades. The board as its known today was manufactured by William Fuld in the 1890s, then acquired by Parker Bros. in 1966. Since then, 12 million copies have been sold, according to Hasbro, which acquired Parker Bros. in 1991. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Adrian Pasdar Let Go From NBC's 'Heroes'

Adrian Pasdar Let Go From NBC's 'Heroes' According to Deadline.com Adrian Pasdar was let go from the NBC show Heroes. Looks like we found out which main character will not be coming back to Heroes this year, Adrian Pasdar is gone. This has not been confirmed by NBC, so maybe a rumor. I am sure we will find out in due time. I was hooked from the first season, there wasn't a show like it on TV. Blew my mind. Then came the second season and third, #u$king Horrible. But I did still bought the entire collection on DVD just to have them. And now the fourth season has me hanging on by a thin thread. It is nowhere near as good as the first season. Still, Adrian Pasdar's forced exit is surprising unless flying is no longer considered a cool enough capability. More likely is that the show keeps suffering lousy ratings because it never recovered from being interrupted during the writers strike. (Poor Tim Kring was collateral damage as well as his Heroes sequel.

Want To Buy The Terminator Franchise? If you have a few million dollars laying around you might be in luck. Or have a very wealthy uncle that might be able to give you a few bucks. Go bid. Looks like the franchise is up for Auction now. All the big studios, with Sony leading the way, as well as Summit Entertainment and Media Rights Capital, are interested in bidding when the Terminator franchise is auctioned off this month. This news comes from the Financial Times' Matthew Garrahan who says the rights auction is for new Terminator films, TV programs and other spin-offs (Because we all know The Sarah Connor Chronicles on Fox did so well, right?) that build on the popularity of the franchise. The sale is being conducted by FTI Capital Advisors for Halcyon which bought the Terminator rights 2 years ago for $25M from Mario Kassar. Halcyon recently filed for Chapter 11 after a dispute with Pacificor, a Santa Barbara-based hedge fund that lent Halcyon the sum to buy the Terminator rights

Men In Black 3 Coming Soon

Men In Black 3 Coming Soon In a long-anticipated move, Columbia Pictures is pushing forward with a third installment in the "Men in Black" franchise. Studio has tapped "Tropic Thunder" scribe Etan Cohen to pen "Men in Black 3." There are no deals in place for the franchise's stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, though it's unlikely that Columbia would greenlight the project without the duo's involvement. Columbia made a similar move in reviving another lucrative franchise when it began work last year on a new "Ghostbusters." At the time, the studio tapped a hot pair of scribes in Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky to bring a modern twist to the supernatural comedy. With the exception of mega-property "Spider-Man," Columbia has few franchises in its vault to draw upon. The Bond franchise has reverted back to MGM. "Ghostbusters" was Columbia's highest-grossing film ever until it was beaten by "Men in Black&q
