BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Dwayne Johnson and George Tillman Jr Go "Faster"

Dwayne Johnson and George Tillman Jr Go "Faster" Dwayne‘The Rock’ Johnson Is Finally going to venture into another action flick in " Faster" with Director George Tillman Jr . Tillman hasn't made very good movie's ( Roller Bounce / BeautyShop ) in his time as a Director and Producer , But with Dwayne I sure hope this movie turns out great. Tillman, who last directed the Notorious B.I.G. biopic , Notorious, is currently in talks to replace Phil Joanou at the helm of the movie, which will star Johnson as an ex-con avenging the murder of his brother. Joanou dropped out a couple of months ago – and with production due to start early next year, the need to install a new director was growing by the day. It’ll be Tillman’s first crack at an action movie proper – he directed Men Of Honor, that awful Cuba Gooding Jr./Robert De Niro movie back in 2000, but we’re sure he’d prefer it if we all just forgot that – and while he may not be a typical choice to helm a reveng

Thomas The Train Is Rolling Into Theaters For everyone out there that has kids as seen the show Thomas the Tank Engine, or at least own a Thomas train in their life time. We had to know that a movie would eventually get made. And that time has come. Thomas the Tank Engine is headed for the big screen. HIT Entertainment has hired screenwriter Josh Klausner ( Shrek the Third) to write a script for a feature based on "Thomas & Friends," created by the Rev. W.V. Awdry in the 1940s. "'Thomas & Friends' is a phenomenally successful and versatile brand that appeals to children and families worldwide," said Julia Pistor , who heads Hit Movies. "Generations of children have grown up with the adventures of 'Thomas & Friends' with its storytelling tradition, positive values, timeless lessons and rich train history. We look forward to working with Josh Klausner to translate the classic 'Thomas & Friends' stories into a thrilli

Wentworth Miller To Star In 'Resident Evil: Afterlife'

Halloween 3D Is A No Go-TWC In Trouble?

Halloween 3D is A No Go-TWC In Trouble? I have the feeling that this has more to do with lack of cash than a mere scheduling problem. And while some may say that H2’s $32 million was okay, in comparison with the movie’s $15 million budget, but that didn’t include prints and advertising, which, was at minimum, that much all over again. EXCLUSIVE: So here's what happened: the script only came in Friday, and it was the first draft that Dimension Films had seen. And The Weinstein Co was rushing to get the film into production for a November start date because it has to be done by January when director Patrick Lussier starts a film for Avi Lerner. A release for Summer 2010 was planned. Sure, the rumor mill claims TWC is out of money amid all those layoffs, and TWC couldn't agree on a $2.5M budget battle with Lussier, and TWC had key crew ready to fly to Shreveport. But I understand that Bob Weinstein shut down H3D pre-production "because Bob just felt it was rushing too fast.

Sly Explains Title Of His New Movie "The Expendables"

Sly Explains Title Of His New Movie "The Expendables" I would always mess with my wife and annoy her with saying the line from the movie. "I'm expendable" and in the film the actress lets Rambo know "he is not Expendable" I would say those two lines over and over again . Nice coincidence that Sly would get the title for this movie from Rambo 2. On the title: "It's from Rambo 2. The girl I'm falling in love with says, “Why do you do what you do?” I say, “I'm expendable.” She says, “What does that mean?” I say, “It's like someone invites you to a party and you don't show up. It doesn't really matter.” And these men, they live a life that... They're expendable. If they're gone, the world will go on. No one will miss them, They don't have families, all they have is each other. They're expendable to the rest of the world, but they're not expendable to each other – they're just necessary. So it's a re

Beverly Hills Cop 4 Huge Priority

Beverly Hills Cop 4 Huge Priority I for one would like to see this movie get fast tracked. On my top ten Favorite movies would have to be Beverly Hills Cop 2 . The third movie should be whipped out of all our memory. Horrible movie! Tired of Eddie Murphy making all these kids flick, I understand the pay checks are nice, But I would like to see him return to his old self with all the foul language and humor he once had. Director Brett Ratner discussed the risky business of integrating brands into movies Thursday at an Advertising Week event focused on "consumer attention in a media-saturated world." Using the example of his current "Beverly Hills Cop" project -- which Ratner said is "a huge priority for Paramount -- the director said that Eddie Murphy will need to drive a car in the film, and that he has to figure out which one. Rather than doing a deal with a car maker and trying to force its product into the story, Ratner said the process must work the oth

Terminator Franchise Up For Sale?

Terminator Franchise Up For Sale? Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek, who acquired the science-fiction franchise in 2007 for $25 million and produced this year's sequel " Terminator Salvation ," are looking to sell the rights as several companies owned by the two producers work their way through Chapter 11 reorganization. Since "The Terminator" was released in 1984, the franchise rights have changed hands frequently. When the first movie came out, production company Hemdale Films owned a 50% interest and director James Cameron sold the other half to producer Gale Anne Hurd for $1. Carolco Pictures, owned by producers Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna, bought Hemdale's stake in 1990 for $10 million and released "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" the next year. In 1997, after Carolco filed for bankruptcy, they started a new venture, C2 Pictures, which bought their old company's stake at auction for $8 million and the remaining 50% from Hurd for $7 millio
