Guy Ritchie to direct ' DC Comics Lobo'

Guy Ritchie to direct ' DC Comics Lobo' Guy Ritchie has signed on to direct his first superhero movie, “ Lobo ,” a big-screen translation of the DC Comics anti-hero. Silver Pictures is co-producing the Warners production with Weed Road. Joel Silver , Akiva Goldsman, and Andrew Rona are producing. Lobo is an blue-skinned cigar-chomping alien who is an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter. The character is one of DC’s more recent creations (he was introduced in the 1980s by creators Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen) and for a brief run in the 1990s, was one of comicdom’s most popular characters. Lobo was meant to serve as a parody of violent heroes such as Wolverine and the Punisher, with his stories featuring a nihilistic streak tinged with dark comedy and excessive violence. (One story had him killing his daughter and all his illegitimate children that she had amassed to rub him out.) Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

First The Smurfs Movie Poster.

First The Smurfs Movie Poster. Here is the first look at the New Smurfs movie due out in Holiday 2010. The CG on the poster doesn't look like anything great. Actually it looks like the little smuf toys that came out when we were younger. And Yes I found my wife April's collection. The movie might be nice for people who watched the show as kids and want to share something with their own children. Have something in common. Trust me that is hard enough to do now. I am not saying that it's going to be a blockbuster by the look of the poster. But would be a nice daughter father date movie I think. The Plot is The adventures of a mythical race of little blue creatures in medieval times that must deal with each other and humans, particularly an evil wizard obsessed with capturing them for his own sinister purposes. Robert Downey Jr and Jon Favreau Team Up Again For 'Cowboys and Aliens' The super duo is back at it again, coming with Cowboys and Aliens . Another comic book adaptation into a movie. Fox to Reboot Fantastic Four

Fox to Reboot Fantastic Four But one thing to remember about Marvel assets is, they don't seem to wear out. We're about to see the second example where successful Marvel movie franchises are going to be reinvented. 20th Century Fox is the latest studio to start the process of overhauling one of its big Marvel Entertainment franchises, “Fantastic Four,” which has already hatched two films. The studio has hired Akiva Goldsman to oversee the re-boot as producer. New script will be written by Michael Green, the “Heroes” co-executive producer who co-wrote “Green Lantern,” the Martin Campbell-directed Warner Bros. film that will star Ryan Reynolds. Though Marvel Entertainment owns and finances properties like “Iron Man” and “Thor,” Fox controls “Fantastic Four” in perpetuity—as long as it continues making the films. Fox has the same arrangement on Marvel Comics properties “X-Men,” “Daredevil,” and “Silver Surfer” --which, despite an appearance in the "Fantastic Four" sequ
