2009 Razzie Awards Nominations Announced

2009 Razzie Awards Nominations Announced This year's Golden Raspberry Award nominations, the anti-Oscars for all films awful, have just been announced. I would have to agree with most of the nomination from this years list. 2009 is described by the Razzie Foundation as "a banner year for bad movies", and as such, the categories are hotly contested. Leading the nominations however, are Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Land of the Lost, with seven nominations each. G.I. Joe is just behind with six. It's the Razzies' 30th anniversary year, so it's time to bestow prizes for worst filmmaking of the decade. They'll be doled out with 2009's trophies at Hollywood's Barnsdall Gallery Theatre at 7:30 p.m. March 6. WORST PICTURE OF 2009 All About Steve G.I. Next Bourne Film To Be A Prequel?

Next Bourne Film To Be A Prequel? While we were doing the red carpet thing at last night’s premiere of Invictus, we cornered Matt Damon and demanded that he tell us just what the HECK is going on with Bourne IV, following Paul Greengrass’ recent departure. What he told us will rock you to your very core: “There’ll probably be a prequel of some kind with another actor and another director before we do another one,” he said, “just because I think we’re probably another five years away from doing it – we’ve got to get a script…” OK, note the word ‘probably’. Could mean all kinds of things – that Damon is engaging in pure speculation, for one. But if anyone’s going to have the inside track on Universal’s plans for Bourne, it’s David Webb himself. So… does this mean that Universal has decided to – and here comes that dread word – reboot one of their biggest franchises? Maybe, maybe… If so, it would contradict recent whispers that tentative feelers have been put out to a major director to fi

New 3D King Kong Ride At Universal Studios Hollywood Over a year and a half ago the 7 ton,30 foot tall King Kong was destroyed in June 2008 Fire on The back lot of Univerasl Studios Hollywood. Universal instead spent 6 times as much to build a new attraction then remake the old ride. And created a 3D version of the ride. Joe Letteri, the visual effects supervisor for the film, said: We saw it and we said we wish we had done the whole movie in 3-D. Since then, Weta Digital have honed the 3-D technology and many of the technological advances developed for Avatar will be used in the Kong attraction. Universal Studios Hollywood President Larry Kurzweil, said: After the 2008 fire, we knew we had to bring him back to the back lot studio tour, but in a way that has never been experienced before. It's going to feel like Avatar but it will be happening all around you. Here's a list of facts and features for the new attraction: - Guests on the studio tour will board a tram that will

Pierre Morel Talks Dune Pierre Morel began a career as cinematographer for such films as "The Transporter" and "War",and then he worked his way to the directors chair in 2004 with his first film "District 13" , which was followed by the surprise hit "Taken" starring Liam Neeson and his upcoming film " From Paris with Love " Starring John Travolta Now comes the hard part adapting Frank Herbert's novel "Dune" for the movie screens. A few have tried their hand at the film. (David Lynch and Alejandro Jodorowsky) Can you talk a bit about your upcoming adaptation of Dune? I'm preparing for a long trek in the dunes... We're going to start writing in a couple weeks. It's very early [in the] process. Do you plan to infuse it with some action? I don't know. It's all about—I'm a huge Dune fan, a reader, like for 30 years; I read it when I was a teenager. I've read it 10 times maybe, so I want to stay tru

Edge of Darkness Movie Review By:Sandwichjohn

Edge of Darkness Movie Review By:Sandwichjohn The Edge of Darkness marks Mel Gibson’s return to movies. The last starring role that he had was in 2002. It will be interesting to see if his behavior since then will influence the success of this movie. I will say that we were the youngest people by far in the theater during the showing we attended. Edge of Darkness is a 2010 film adaptation of the 1985 BBC television series. Mel Gibson plays Thomas Craven, a Boston police detective, who is investigating the death of his only daughter. Bojana Novakovic plays Emma Craven, who is murdered right in front of Thomas by a shot gun blast to the chest. Before Emma is murdered we see her vomiting and her nose is bleeding, she starts to freak out telling her father there is something that she should have told him. And then Bam. The police department starts investigating the case under the assumption that Thomas was the intended target and Emma was just caught in the crossfire. As Thomas soo
