BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Channing Tatum Signed On To Play Gambit In Upcoming Films

The film will launch a stand-alone franchise with the " 22 Jump Street " star tackling the role last played by Taylor Kitsch . Channing Tatum has signed on to star in an X-Men spinoff centered on the character Gambit , THR has confirmed. News that the 22 Jump Street star would tackle the role last played by Taylor Kitsch broke when X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner revealed the move to Total Film on the red carpet in London Monday night, where the current X-Men movie, Days of Future Past , was premiering. Multiple sources say that Tatum will get a stand-alone spinoff, with his version of Gambit being introduced in X-Men: Apocalypse . The stand-alone film is still in development, however, and no director has been attached. When asked what kind of an actor she was looking at to play Gambit, Shuler Donner said, "It's Channing." Asked to elaborate on what makes Tatum right for the role, Shuler Donner said, "Well you know, he's a rogue --

“Quicksilver” Clip From X-Men: Days Of Future Past

A common thread following early screenings of X-Men: Days of Future Past has been how impressive one particular scene, in which Quicksilver rescues Magneto from captivity, is. Capitalizing on the buzz, a new promo for the movie offers glimpses at the high speed jailbreak. Watch the clip after the Jump... Introduced by a monologue from Patrick Stewart’s Professor Xavier, the new “Quicksilver” promo mixes Evan Peters’ introduction to the team — as glimpsed in an earlier trailer — with snippets from his rescue of Magneto from incarceration, giving the slightest of tastes of what to expect from watching the super-speedster in action. Watching the video’s inventive take on the basic super power of “doing things very fast,” it looks as if the X-Men incarnation of the character may set the bar pretty high for Joss Whedon’s competitive take in next year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Perhaps having two Quicksilvers could end up being a good thing after all. Please Leave A Comment- S

2014 Big Movie Questions

Big Movie Questions of 2014  By: Matt Cummings Read on to learn whether our Big Movie Questions of 2014 might need to be re-titled 'Top Movie Questions of 2015.' With 2013 in the books, we're continuing a tradition here at SJF by looking forward to the big movie questions of 2014. And while last year provided us with entertaining answers to the questions we posed back in February, 2014 looks to have just as many. Without any fanfare whatsoever, we now present the Big Movie Questions of 2014 . Is 2015 already eclipsing 2014? Take a look at 2015, and you'll see what could be the most impressive list of films to come in a single year: The Avengers: Age of Ultron , the as-yet-untitled Batman/Superman movie, Fast 7 , and Mission: Impossible are but a few.
