Review by Matt Cummings If 2016's Spotlight and 2015's Room - both Oscar winners - proved anything, it's that stories of incredible abuse can be righted by the healing power of the human spirit. In both cases, our victims succeed, championed by a system of caring whose story is almost as interesting as the victim's. We learn some our most important life lessons from the visual arts, something that I wish The Glass Castle would have remembered. Apes, together, strong! RAMA is back. War For The Planet Of The Apes is extraordinary. It’s got Oscar written all over it. Simply one of this year’s best. Goes to prove that with the right technology and the right storytelling quality and a perfectly clear end-goal, a reboot of an old franchise can get better and better with each installment. Written by Mark Bomback and Matt Reeves who directed it, in “War For The Planet of The Apes,” Caesar and his apes try their best to let humans know that they don’t want war. But a tragedy occurs which forces Caesar to track down and confront a ruthless colonel. As his vengeful quest goes on, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and must ultimately face the decision that will determine the fate of both species. What’s incredible about “War for The Planet of The Apes” in my opinion is that it doesn’t just offer the final conflict between man and apes. Caesar Invades Vegas and Takes Over Caesars Palace Las Vegas with a major show-stopping visual effect! In anticipation of a brand new trailer launching tomorrow, projections of Caesar, the title character of WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES , and a special image created by Shepard Fairey in collaboration with Studio One took over Caesars Palace. Famed contemporary street artist Shepard Fairey in collaboration with Studio One has created a stunning image which is being projected by twelve 35,000 lumen projectors with true 4k images all digitally mapped together to create one large image on the hotel. The final image is over 495’ wide and 261’ tall and required over a football field of cabling running from roof to roof at Caesars Palace Las Vegas. Review by Matt Cummings In Director Craig Johnson's Wilson , an aged and prickly man (Woody Harrelson) rails on society with his acerbic personality, committing faux paws nearly every second in which he makes contact with other people. No urinal will keep Wilson from striking up an unwanted conversation while checking out your package, no moment of potential maturity is gained.
