The Dawn Of The Justice League & Wonder Woman Logo

Hoping to capture our attention in a big way today, Warner Bros. and DC have been drip-feeding little nuggets from the Justice League , culminating in a TV special that will launch looks at some of the new films and introduce a second Suicide Squad trailer. Until then, we have a logo for Wonder Woman and an image of the Justice League. First up is that logo for Wonder Woman to go along with the film that will pencil in a lot more of the character's backstory following her introduction in this year's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice . Played by Gal Gadot , we'll meet Princess Diana and some of her family (including her mother, played by Connie Nielsen ) as she has her first encounter with US air intelligence officer Steve Trevor ( Chris Pine ), a man who will have a huge effect on her life, and she on his. We've yet to see much from the film, which is still in production, but we'd expect a few more images to arrive soon enough. Then there's the Jus

#WonderWoman First Image & Who's Joining The Cast

Warner Bros. has officially announced the commencement of filming on the solo Wonder Woman movie, complete with the full cast and a new first look photo of Gal Gadot as Diana Prince. Principal photography will take place on location in the UK, France and Italy. Joining Gadot in the Patty Jenkins -directed movie are: Chris Pine as Captain Steve Trevor, Robin Wright (House of Cards), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (the Harry Potter films), Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting), Saïd Taghmaoui (G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In, Van Helsing) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead, UK's The Office). Wright would seem to have replaced Nicole Kidman in the role she had been in negotiations for. Huston, likewise, would seem to be playing the role that rumor had it Sean Bean was considered for, but that's just speculation. Please Leave A Comment- Source- IGN

All Superhero Movies to 2020 (UPDATED...AGAIN)

Guess what happens when we say, "We have the final, final, final version of the list." Story by Matt Cummings Marvel shocked the world (again) this week with the announcement that Ant-Man was getting a sequel, and that the studio had added three more films to its release schedule. We knew our original story back in April couldn't hold, but that's our dumb luck assuming we know the inner mind of the Marvel machine. The The Kree Supreme Intelligence has got nothing on Marvel Studios! Anyways, we've had some time to digest everything and thought it was time to re-re-re-update the master list of DC/Marvel films through 2020. The changes ain't pretty, and there's some interesting suggestions embedded within. Read our thoughts after checking out the list: 2016 February 12: Deadpool (Fox) March 25: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice May 6: Captain America: Civil War May 27: X-Men: Apocalypse (Fox) August 5: Suicide Squad October 7: G

Jesse Eisenberg Will Be Playing Luthor Jr In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Here’s a turn up for the books. Jesse Eisenberg won’t be portraying the Lex Luthor we all know and love in next year’s ‘ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ’. In fact, Eisenberg will playing Alexander Joseph Luthor Jr, son of Lex Luthor Snr , who has taken over his father’s company and turned it into a tech giant. The unexpected news comes from a fictionalised profile of the character on Fortune , which says that Lex Luthor Snr was “indomitable”, “vicious” and more than a little curious about “strange meteorite crystals”. “Dad named the company after himself ten years before I made my unexpected entrance into his life. But investors seemed to respond to the idea of an adoring father building a legacy for his precious son. He used that to his advantage. It was a good shtick and, whatever else he was, he was a good businessman,” says Eisenberg’s character. Lex Snr passed away “unexpectedly” in 2000, leaving his son to take the reins. “The achievements of LexCorp’s founder pal

#JenaMalone Will Play Barbara Gordon In Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Latinoreview is reporting that Jena Malone will play Barbara Gordon . No word yet whether she’d become Batgirl or Oracle in this movie. But word has it that Commissioner Gordon has already passed away prior to the story in “ Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice ” No confirmation yet, so take that info with a grain of salt for now. Chris Pine Is Signed On To Play Steve Trevor In The Upcoming Wonder Woman Film

Patty Jenkins is directing the comic book movie for Warner Bros., which will release the film in 2017. Chris Pine has closed a deal to play Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot in “ Wonder Woman ,” TheWrap has learned. Pine joins the DC Movie Universe in a multi-picture deal that includes sequel options, according to insiders. A representative for Warner Bros. did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Steve Trevor will be no mere love interest for Gadot’s Diana Prince, as there will be plenty of action to keep him busy, though plot details remain under wraps. There had been speculation that Pine was up for a role in WB’s upcoming “Green Lantern Corps” and that the “Wonder Woman” rumors were just a smokescreen, but that popular fanboy theory proved unfounded. Patty Jenkins is directing “Wonder Woman,” which Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder are producing with Charles Roven and Richard Suckle of Atlas Entertainment. Jason Fuchs wrote the script after working with War

New Images From #BatmanVSuperman: Dawn Of Justice

In the September issue, Empire sits down with the brains trust behind the new DC/Warner Bros. superpowered behemoth, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice . It's the beginning of unrivalled coverage of a film that has an awful lot riding on it. The on-set stories, the genesis, the new casting and its place in the fast-developing DCverse are all tackled within, with director Zack Snyder , producers Deborah Snyder and Charles Roven, and its two key protagonists, Henry Cavill (the Man of Steel) and Ben Affleck (the Dark Knight), promising a muscular, dark-hewn epic. These three exclusive new shots from within the article's pages bear that out. See all the images after the Jump... First up is Cavill's Supes, looking like, a) he's inside the burnt-out ruins of Wayne Manor, and b) he's not there to measure it out for new soft furnishing. Below is his adversary, for the majority of the movie at least, in Affleck's Batman. Note the almost medieval shape of th

#BatmanVSuperman Empire Cover Photo

The new issue of Empire lands this week and the front cover packs a mighty bunch. Well, four mighty punches to be exact, two each from the fists of Batman and Superman . This month's cover stars and Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice adversaries hail from different sides of the light/dark spectrum. Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight is pictured against a murky and distinctive Gotham cityscape. “There is just this gravitas to Batman,” director/producer/franchise oversees Zack Snyder stresses in our cover feature. “He is operatic.” And Superman? " In this movie, everyone has split into different directions as to how they feel about this alien," explains Henry Cavill. "Some people love him, some hate him. Other people fear him. Is he a tyrant?" At the heart of Empire's access-all-areas coverage this month is a trip to the heart of the Batman V Superman brains trust and a chance to meet the man piloting this superhero behemoth, as well as his stars, and get the sc

#LootCrate Review: July 2015

Can Loot Crate keep up its successful run with July 2015's Heroes2? Read on to find out! Review by Matt Cummings The subscription box Loot Crate has amassed a stellar run recently, having delivered exceptional boxes in March , April , May , and June . But potential problems threaten subscriber support, as the company tries a new upgrade plan that could see their mainstay - the shirt - available only in higher-priced boxes. And while I like July's theme of HEROES 2, the lack of a shirt is a lingering concern. We've noticed that USPS and other carriers are doing a better job delivering the boxes, as this one is missing the usual dents and scratches that plagued earlier deliveries. Upon cracking the case, we see a neat Batman figure but no t-shirt, a real bummer but one almost made up by what looks like a sweet Batman figure. Last month's Tron-inspired Optimus Prime was perhaps one of its best ever, and I was hoping this month for a worthy opponent. Its
