Derek Haas and Michael Brandt are feeling Wanted all over again. The screenwriting duo have been tapped to work on Wanted 2 for Universal, which is developing the sequel to the hit action movie starring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy . The 2008 movie, directed by Timur Bekmambetov , was based on a comic mini-series by Mark Millar and J.G. Jones and centered on a disillusioned office worker who discovers his father was part of a secret society of super-human assassins. Brandt and Hass wrote the screen story and shared screenwriting credits with Chris Morgan. The movie grossed $341 worldwide, so it wasn’t long before Universal put a sequel into development. But finding a story proved harder to crack. Morgan was commissioned to work on the project back in the fall of 2008. In 2009, Evan Spiliotopoulos was brought on board before the project quietly faded away. Now Haas and Brandt will move the Wanted 2 needle forward, based on Spiliotopoulos’ work. Today is Valentines Day and I guess even Abe has a lovely lady to celebrate with tonight.  Director Timur Bekmambetov has found his leading lady to play  Mary Todd in the upcoming film  Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter which is an adaptation of Seth Graham-Smith's novel with the same name. The guys over at LatinoReview  delivers this news like a cupid shooting an arrow threw her heart.  Robin McLeavy was cast in the role today. The film also stars  Benjamin Walker  who got cast as Abe Lincoln,  Dominican Cooper  who will play Henry Sturges (Abe's mentor), and  Anthony Mackie  who will play Abe's best friend Will. Timur Bekmambetov is helming the movie, his first since his 2008 hit Wanted , and tells of Lincoln fighting the forces of the undead during the Civil War. The project is a big coup for the actor, who has been performing on Broadway of late. The actor, has appeared in movies such as Flags of our Fathers and Kinsey. But he elbowed his way to the front of the line in the screentests that took place earlier this month to nab the lead role of Honest Abe.
