Joe Johnston Talks Chris Evans And How He Got The Captain America Role

Joe Johnston Talks Chris Evans And How He Got The Captain America Role Joe Johnston the director of The First Avenger: Captain America Film talked to Earths Mightiest about the upcoming film and how Chris Evans nabbed the role of Steve Rodger (Captain America.) So what was it exactly they were looking for? Johnston explains. Casting Captain America is really casting two roles...Steve Rogers before and after the transformation from 98 pound weakling to perfect physical specimen. I can't divulge how we're going to do it, but the performance will be Chris Evans from beginning to end. An actor playing Captain America has to embody that back story and let it inform his understanding of his new self. One of the interesting aspects of the character is the effect that kind of total transformation would have on the his psyche. It gives the character more dimension and the actor playing him a wider range of interesting choices. Johnston goes on and explains why he chose Chris Evans

She was also an American agent serving with the French Resistance. She has standard military training and is handy with a gun. She is also a competent spy and detective.) Chris Evans To Play Captain America

Chris Evans To Play Captain America The wait is over and now we have confirmation that Chris Evans will play Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. Sources tell us the actor has not only accepted Marvel's offer, first detailed on Friday, but that the dealmaking moved so fast it's now all about dotting the i's and crossing the t's. Evans was offered the role in Marvel Studios' production last week, but there was some question of whether he would accept. Factoring in to the choice was the fact that Evans played Johnny Storm, the flame-covered superhero known as the Human Torch in Fox's "Fantastic Four" movies. Was he ready to play another superhero and take on the trappings that come with such a high-profile part? Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Chris Evans Front Runner To Play Captain America

Chris Evans Front Runner To Play Captain America Chris Evans is inching one step closer to playing Steve Rodgers in the upcoming The First Avenger: Captain America film. Chris  has already worn a super hero costume having starred as Johnny Storm, the fire-covered superhero in the two “Fantastic Four” movies that Fox released in 2005 and 2007. Evans' offer would include starring in up to three "America" movies plus "The Avengers" movies and appearances in several other Marvel movies. While an offer to star in "America" may seem like something you don't have to mull over too long, one possible complication is that Evans is committed to co-starring in the Anna Faris romantic comedy "What's Your Number?" Both are scheduled to shoot this summer. Evans wasn’t in the initial round of actors being considered, which for the most part leaned to the newcomer side. Michael Cassidy, Patrick Flueger, Scott Porter, Wilson Blethel and Mike Vog
