BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Tim Burton's Superman Lives Suit

Superman Lives What could Have Been VFX artist Steve Johnson open up a can and shocked the world today. He revealed images of what Superman Lives could have been on his facebook page . Thank God this never happened. A little history of the film and what could have been. Kevin Smith pitched to Jon Peters his story outline in August 1996, in which Peters gave him permission to write a screenplay. However, Peters presented Smith with three rules, such as wanting Superman to wear an all-black suit , feeling the more traditional suit was "too faggy"; not wanting to see Superman fly , saying that Superman would "look like an overgrown Boy Scout."(In order to deal with this, Smith wrote Superman flying as "a red-and-blue blur in flight, creating a sonic boom every time he flew."); See more Pictures and read the entire story after the Jump.. and have Superman fight a giant spider in the third act . Smith accepted the terms, realizing that he was being

Cop Out Movie Review By: SandwichJohn

Cop Out Movie Review By: SandwichJohn I will admit that I did not have very high hopes for Cop Out when I first saw the trailers. The latest trailer looked more promising but I was still not sure that I would really like this film. I am happy to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. This movie was hilarious! Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan have surprisingly good chemistry. The scenes with Seann William Scott were just fantastic. The films plot centers around Jimmy Monroe (played by Bruce Willis) and Paul Hodges (played by Tracy Morgan), two cops who are suspended from the NYPD at the start of the film. Jimmy needs to come up with $48,000 to pay for his daughters dream wedding so he decides to sell his most valuable baseball card. While at the card shop to have the card appraised he is robbed of both the card and Paul’s gun that he had loaned him. Seann William Scott plays Dave, one of the guys that rob him. Jimmy and Paul set out to retrieve the stolen card and gun on their own. Alon

Seann William Scott To Star In "Hit Somebody" A No BS Hockey Film

Seann William Scott To Star In "Hit Somebody" A No BS Hockey Film Looks like Seann William Scott wants to shake the Stiffler type cast. As we reported last week Universal is in talk to make a forth American Pie film. Sean said that he wants to do a part like Christoph Waltz in 'Inglourious Basterds,' I did 'American Pie' three times and then versions of that in ten other movies. If it makes sense and if it makes people laugh than maybe. Watch the video at the bottom of the post which the film will be based on. "Seann William Scott also told us that Kevin Smith has asked him to play the main role of Buddy in his upcoming hockey movie " Hit Somebody ", based on the Warren Zevon hockey song of the same name. That song was co-written by Mitch Alborn who also wrote the screenplay with Smith, and it's about a hockey player who gets into the other hockey league of the '70s, the WHA (World Hockey Association), based on his fighting skills rathe

Cop Out Red Band Trailer

Cop Out Red Band Trailer When the first trailer for this film came out I really didn't have one bone in my body that wanted to see this film at all. Just another buddy cop movie with Stifler in it. But I didn't want to give up hope on Kevin Smith. After watching this red band trailer and actually laughed threw out the trailer and it gave me hope for this movie. Watch the trailer and let me know what you think. Two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster. Jimmy (Bruce Willis) is the veteran detective whose missing collectible is his only hope to pay for his daughter's upcoming wedding, and Paul (Tracy Morgan) is his "partner-against-crime" whose preoccupation with his wife's alleged infidelity makes it hard for him to keep his eye on the ball. Film comes out February 26th. . Please Leave A Comment- Source- Myspace

Kevin Smith Film Gets A Title Change

Kevin Smith Film Gets A Title Change Two cops have to rescue a beautiful Mexican woman, fight off gangsters and get their hands on a valuable stolen baseball card. It was known that Kevin Smith’s new film was getting a title change. It was announced that the first trailer would run with Sherlock Holmes. So it looks like the new title is Cop Out. Not nearly as cool as A Couple of Dicks but it works – and is a helluva a lot better than A Couple of Cops. The trailer is looking to be premiering in front of Sherlock Holmes. As if to solidify the name - which, let's face it, could still be a code, though all the other titles listed as having trailers are real - Smith gave this less-than cryptic response to a recent tweet sent by a follower: "They're not going with A Couple Of Dicks? That's such a cop-out" Hm. Has a nice ring to it... Please Leave A Comment- Source- Filmstage

What Nicolas Cage's Superman Could Have Been

What Nicolas Cage Superman Could Have Been What could this movie had done for the Superman Franchise, I know one thing it would have kept it alive. Very odd screen shot but none the less it is out there. Ever wonder what Nicolas Cage would have looked like had he played Superman in the late 1990s movie Superman Lives ? That was the scrapped version that would have been directed by Tim Burton from a screenplay by Kevin Smith (and rewritten by Wesley Strick) and produced by Jon Peters. Cage's casting as the last son of Krypton caused as much of a stir amongst fanboys as Michael Keaton's had when he won the title role in Burton's Batman. Filming on Superman Lives was to have begun in 1998 in Pittsburgh, but Warner Bros. ultimately put the project on hold due to its ballooning budget. Both Cage and Burton eventually dropped out of the project, but not after concept art and costume designs were made. And after years in-development and millions spent, Warners would ultimately s

Is the Weinstein Brothers Ship Sinking?

Is the Weinstein Brothers Ship Sinking? I sure hope that Bob and Harvey Weinstein get their shit together. They have made some great movies in the past. But not putting any money behind them to promote the movies is Horse shit. You spend all this money to make the movie and then don't put anything into promoting it. Real Smart. Get it together and bring back the old magic that made this team on of the best out there. IN the wee hours of Friday morning, Quentin Tarantino stood in a West Village bar that had opened for him and his entourage — cast members of his new movie, “ Inglourious Basterds ,” and his longtime producers, Bob and Harvey Weinstein. Swinging a blue cocktail in one hand, he held forth about the time that Harvey told him he’d like to invest in a restaurant. The goal, Harvey explained to Mr. Tarantino at the time, wasn’t to schmooze, or to get the best table. New York City had just banned cigarettes from restaurants and Harvey, then an avid smoker, didn’t approve. “
