Caesar Invades Vegas and Takes Over Caesars Palace Las Vegas with a major show-stopping visual effect! In anticipation of a brand new trailer launching tomorrow, projections of Caesar, the title character of WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES , and a special image created by Shepard Fairey in collaboration with Studio One took over Caesars Palace. Famed contemporary street artist Shepard Fairey in collaboration with Studio One has created a stunning image which is being projected by twelve 35,000 lumen projectors with true 4k images all digitally mapped together to create one large image on the hotel. The final image is over 495’ wide and 261’ tall and required over a football field of cabling running from roof to roof at Caesars Palace Las Vegas. All of the lights on the Caesars Palace Augustus Tower will be turned off while the image is projected. When Jurassic Park premiered in 1993, audiences were amazed at what eventually became the next great leap in CGI: believable prehistorics being chased by humans who effectively argued against man interfering with nature. Two disappointing sequels and two decades later, the sequel/retconned Jurassic World arrives, sparring no expense to return the franchise to respectability. And while it satisfies in the simplest way possible, its story gaps, good (not great) CGI, and decent performances keep it from wiping off the mud of its shunned brethren. Review by Matt Cummings A young person's mind is like a sponge, taking in anything and everything in an attempt to understand its world and (more importantly) its purpose. Children are wonderfully investigative, perhaps more so than parents would prefer on occasion. For a film like Disney's Tomorrowland , that love of information, imagination, and youthful exuberance should be proudly on display. Instead, it's a mass-branding, incoherent bore that few kids will stick around to finish.
