BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Character Posters

Nature's Black Widows aren't well-known for their flying abilities, but it looks like Marvel's Scarlett Johansson version is perfectly happy in mid-air, making your jaw drop. She's the star of one of three new Captain America: The Winter Soldier character posters, and you'll want to look at all of them ASAP. What can we take from these? Well, Black Widow seems to have gone on the Photoshop diet, but aside from her unlikely waist looks pretty darn cool. Nick Fury's signature cool overcoat is looking more serious of purpose than ever. And Cap seems weighed down by the cares of the modern world, and also the shield on his back. As these one-sheets hint, the new adventures of the First Avenger will be a bit darker and more morally confused than its Stars-and-Stripes waving predecessor. This time, Steve Rogers ( Chris Evans ), AKA Cap, discovers something rotten in the state of S.H.I.E.L.D., and also has to deal with the reappearance of his old friend Buck

Captain America 3 Could Be On It's Way

Marvel is still focusing on “ Captain America: The Winter Soldier ,” which arrives in April, but sources tell Variety that Anthony and Joe Russo will be back in the director’s chair for a third installment, even though the film hasn’t officially been greenlit. Marvel and Russo’s reps had no comment. Negotiations wouldn’t begin untill after “ Winter Soldier ” bows but sources say Marvel has been so impressed with the production of the film, as well as with strong results from recent test screenings, that the studio has moved fast to attach the brothers to the next installment. Since many of the actors have options for a third installment, a threequel is likely in the cards as long as “Winter Soldier” performs well. A writer and release date are still pending for “ Captain America 3 ″ but sources say Marvel and the Russos are already putting together an outline of what the third film’s story arc would look like. Kevin Feige will produce with Chris Evans returning in the title

2014 Big Movie Questions

Big Movie Questions of 2014  By: Matt Cummings Read on to learn whether our Big Movie Questions of 2014 might need to be re-titled 'Top Movie Questions of 2015.' With 2013 in the books, we're continuing a tradition here at SJF by looking forward to the big movie questions of 2014. And while last year provided us with entertaining answers to the questions we posed back in February, 2014 looks to have just as many. Without any fanfare whatsoever, we now present the Big Movie Questions of 2014 . Is 2015 already eclipsing 2014? Take a look at 2015, and you'll see what could be the most impressive list of films to come in a single year: The Avengers: Age of Ultron , the as-yet-untitled Batman/Superman movie, Fast 7 , and Mission: Impossible are but a few. Moviegoers are salivating for these tentpole titles, while ignoring the potentially bigger releases of 2014, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier , Guardians of the Galaxy, Transformers: Age of E

New Images From Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Sequels are often darker than their predecessors, but Captain America is taking that literally in The Winter Soldier , swapping his star-spangled uniform for a darker grey suit. Perhaps it's no wonder that he's feeling gloomy, with his old pal Bucky transformed into the titular Winter Soldier and the odds stacked against him. Here are some exclusive new pictures from the film that appear in the new February issue of Empire magazine (out Tuesday, December 31). So there you get a look at Captain America's new duds; Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow running full tilt for, er, important reasons; Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier holding Cap's shield (clutch your pearls in horror now, everyone!) and Robert Redford's Alexander Pierce laying down the law (it seems) to S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). See all the images after the Jump... Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

New Potential Female Leads For Winter Solider

You know that Marvel Studios is moving forward with a superhero movie when there is a bake-off of young talent for key roles. Marvel is readying Captain America: The Winter Soldier , and directors Joe and Anthony Russo have a short list of five hot actresses for a significant new role. Looks like stories keep changing in  August we brought you a story about the three young ladies that were testing for the film and now this news. Not sure the character, but evidently it’s a love interest for Steve Rogers ( Chris Evans ). I’m told that Game Of Thrones‘ Emelia Clarke , Downton Abbey‘s Jessica Brown Findlay , Warm Bodies‘ Teresa Palmer , Knight Of Cups‘ Imogen Poots and The Five Year Engagement‘s Alison Brie are testing for it. I’m also hearing that Scarlett Johansson ’s Black Widow will be in the mix on this film. Marvel cleverly signs these actors on for as many as nine options, which gives them the latitude to cross-pollinate the films with multiple superheroes. At first this w

The 3 Ladies Up For Captain America's Love Interest In Winter Solider

The cast of Captain America: The Winter Solider is growing. Chris Evans already has a new partner in Anthony Mackie (Falcon), and now the hunt is on for his leading lady. Here are the three actresses who have caught Marvel's eye. The New York Post is reporting that Anna Kendrick (The Twilight Saga, 50/50), Felicity Jones (The Tempest, Chalet Girl) and Imogen Poots (Jane Eyre, Fright Night) are front-runners for the Captain America sequel. What role are they fighting for? Marvel is keeping that a secret, but many assume it's Sharon Carter . Sharon is the niece of Margaret "Peggy" Carter ( Hayley Atwell ), who appeared in the first Captain America . Like her aunt, Sharon is also a love interest for Steve Rogers . Anna Kendrick has appeared in The Twilight Saga, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, 50/50 and, most notably, 2009's Up in the Air. Her performance as Natalie earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Felicity Jones is a Bri

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Gets A Rewrite

Chris McCoy is being tapped to rewrite Guardians of the Galaxy , Marvel Studios’ space adventure movie. Galaxy is part of Marvel’s second wave of movies and is the only new title among the crop of mostly sequels featuring Iron Man, Thor and Captain America . It was revealed as the company’s mystery movie in late June and officially announced at Comic-Con in July. While there have been several incarnations of the team in the comics over the years, the movie’s lineup will include Drax the Destroyer , a human resurrected as a green warrior with the sole purpose of killing Thanos (the villain in the Avengers final-scene tease); Groot , a giant tree-man; Star-Lord , a gun-toting half-human/half-alien intergalactic vigilante; Rocket Raccoon , a genetically engineered animal with a knack for guns and explosives; and Gamora , the last survivor of her species who was saved by Thanos to be his assassin but now battles him. Nicole Perlman wrote the previous draft. Perlman is graduate of

BLACK PANTHER Stand Alone Film Is Next For Marvel

According to @elmayimbe  (And he is always on the money about his scoops) from Latino-Review the next stand alone movie from Marvel is going to be none other than the Wakanda hero, BLACK PANTHER . Marvel is going BIG TIME after the urban film audience and I applaud them for that. Last year, it was reported that Marvel hired Mark Bailey to pen the script and I hear the script is fantastic. The clues were always there. They showed Wakanda on the map in Iron Man 2 and Captain America’s shield is made from Vibranium which also hails from Wakanda. The Black Panther has a long development history which at one point had Wesley Snipes attached to star. Marvel got the rights back to the character in 2005. From Wikipedia The title “Black Panther” is a rank of office, chieftain of the Wakandan Panther Clan. As chieftain, the Panther is entitled to eat a special heart-shaped herb, as well as his mystical connection with the Wakandan Panther god, that grants him superhumanly acute se

LEGO Captain America Kickin ASS

This has to be one of the most creative, crazy things I have seen and I love it. Brought to us by forrestfirefilms . We have all seen LEGO Star Wars and all that other stuff. But as an adult this is the LEGO we have been waiting for. Captain American kicking ass and taking names.

Chris Evans In Talks To Star In Host

While he’s most closely identified with Captain America at the moment, Chris Evans is making sure he uses the fire it has lit under his career to push it in interesting directions. He’s now in negotiations to star in Host director Bong Joon-ho’s Snow Piercer. Though it sounds like he’d be playing another superhero (one with a slightly odd-sounding power - "I am the Snow Piercer!" "What you do in your personal time is your own issue, mate"), it’s actually an indie set in a frigid world of ice and snow, and focused on a train full of travellers who are struggling to survive both the conditions and each other. There’s no word on what exactly Evans will be playing if he locks in a deal, but if he does sign on, he’ll report to the Prague set in March to start shooting. Bong Joon-ho, who last made crime thriller Mother, has written Snow Piercer with another leading light of Korean Cinema, Oldboy director Park Chan-Wook. Evans will next crop up in a little film ca

Doctor Strange Movie Closer To Reality

As Marvel mines the depths of their character catalog for big screen properties one thing has become clear: They are rapidly coming to the end of the big, mainstream characters and, if they are to continue, things are going to get weird. Hardcore fans of the label have been waiting for the weird factor to crank up and recent Marvel entries have nodded to the supernatural, cosmic side of the Marvel Universe with elements of both Thor and Captain America leaning in that direction. But for all that Thor is a god and Captain America showed off the Cosmic Cube that's still not the real thing. If you want Cosmic Marvel you want Doctor Strange . Created in 1963 Doctor Strange is the story of an arrogant surgeon who is injured in a car accident and goes on to become the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel universe. Using his magical powers Strange protects the earth from attacks from other realms. Fans have been vocal about wanting a Doctor Strange movie for a while now and there have b

What's Next Thor & Captain America

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has painted a clearer picture of where he sees the Marvel Cinematic Universe expanding after next summer's The Avengers . IGN got an exclusive advance look at a new interview Feige did for the upcoming summer issue of Disney twenty-three magazine, the quarterly publication of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club . "X-Men was the dawn of the new Marvel cinematic age,". "Iron Man was the dawn of the Marvel Studios age and the establishment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the beginning of that continuity. The Avengers is the next big step. Once all these characters come together, it's the culmination of all that has come before. It launches a new era and a new time in the history of our films. Not only will it be the first film that our new home studio, Disney, will be distributing, but it will also renew each of these characters and launch them into their own franchises, starting with the second film to be released by Disne

Disney To Distribute Marvel's 'The Avengers,' 'Iron Man 3'

The Mouse Gets His Hands On “The Avengers” & “Iron Man 3” Paramount sources say the studio stands to profit handsomely from its deal to shift marketing and distribution of Marvel’s 2012 tentpole “ The Avengers ” and still-unslotted “ Iron Man 3 ” to Disney , which acquired the comic-book company last year. Paramount will receive distribution fees for both films with a guaranteed minimum of $115 million regardless of how the films perform. Paramount insiders say the studio will receive its usual 8 percent distribution fee for “ The Avengers ” and an increase to 9 percent for the third “Iron Man.” Disney quickly announced a release date of May 3, 2013 for “ Iron Man 3 .” The deal gives Disney -- which has faltered at the box office recently -- a chance to benefit from its acquisition of Marvel. Paramount views the deal as an opportunity “to do no work on ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘Avengers’ ” and still make more money on the films, according to a source. That source said Paramount
