On this better-late-than-never edition of Inside the Bucket, Matt and Rama from RamaScreen.com gather late in the week to give you all this week's movie and television news and reviews from our website SANDWICHJOHNFILMS.COM . Already dripping with SJF ballsy grease, the boys endeavor to discuss several items of supposed importance. This week, they turn their attention to news from DC, Star Wars , and of course Marvel, as they discuss JK Simmons becoming Commissioner Gordon and Chewbacca joining Han Solo in his upcoming origin story. The two give their reaction to the newest Civil War trailer, discussing the possible future of several characters along the way. The boys also discuss movies and television shows hitting Blu-ray this week.

The 'Amazing Spider-man 3' Story We (Thankfully) Never Got to See

New details arise about the script that was (thankfully) never produced. Story by Matt Cummings When Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios/Disney agreed this year to co-produce future Spider-Man films and (finally) bring Peter Parker into the MCU, it did two important things, one of which was only recently revealed. Sure, the agreement allows Ol' Webhead to enter the MCU at the right time - 2018/2019's Infinity War as well as a possible role in 2016's Captain America: Civil War - but another reason has only recently rose to the surface. On Monday, MTV and IGN released interviews from two former stars of The Amazing Spider-man series: Actor Dennis Leary and Director Marc Webb. When asked separately about his experience on set, Leary, who played Captain George Stacy, stunned audiences with the following. "I was disappointed because I’m totally selfish and greedy. I came back briefly in two and possibly in [The Amazing Spider-Man] 3, there was this idea a

Inside the Bucket Podcast #63

This week's episode of Inside the Bucket is online! Revel in the digital mastery! On this first weekend of June edition of Inside the Bucket , Matt is joined a thoroughly surly Sue, a depressed David, and (later) the awesome Brandon Wolfe as they sit down to deliver the best movie and television news from our website SANDWICHJOHNFILMS.COM . Starting off with several items of news, Matt, David, and Sue discuss Jason Statham (possibly not?) joining Netflix's Daredevil season 2, as well as James Wan being tapped to direct Aquaman . Matt then stumbles around the list of Blu-rays being released this week and then giving the team all the numbers from this weekend's box office. Please check out these and many other stories which we've included below. Two More Characters Join 'Captain America: Civil War'

Learn below which two Marvel heroes will be joining the superhero beatdown! Story by Matt Cummings It's becoming clear that Marvel's kickoff to Phase 3 - Captain America: Civil War - doesn't only feature The Star-Spangled Man, but will be host to a growing number of characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Over the past few months, we've learned that Hawkeye , Black Widow , and Falcon will join Cap and Iron Man as they battle over the Superhuman Registration Act. Yesterday saw actor Martin Freeman sign on to play an unknown role . That list got a little bigger today, when it was announced that both Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Black Panther (Chadwick Bozeman) will also appear. The film will mark Bozeman's first as Black Panther, while Rudd's Ant-Man will enjoy a second appearance. The movie will apparently only follow a limited amount of the original comic plot, where an international incident forces both Cap and Iron Man to choose sides reg

Martin Freeman Cast in 'Captain America: Civil War'

The Hobbit actor's role has yet to be revealed. Story by Matt Cummings Actor Martin Freeman has been to The Shire, solved mysteries on the streets of London, and will now jump headfirst into a Civil War. According to a press release on Marvel.com, Freeman has signed on to play in next year's Captain America: Civil War . While his specific role is unknown, Marvel had this to say about Freeman's signing: "From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in 'The Office,' Martin's range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us," said "Captain America: Civil War" Producer Kevin Feige. "We couldn't be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Celebrated for his roles in "Sherlock," "Fargo," the “Hobbit” trilogy, and much more, Freeman has earned one Primetime Emmy® Award and one BAFTA Award, both for his portrayal of Doctor John

Russo Brothers to Shoot "Avengers: Infinity War" At One Time

The Russo Brothers are set to direct the follow-ups to The Avengers . Story by Matt Cummings It's not easy these days to suddenly find yourself at the top of the world, especially if you're relatively new and your resume isn't filled with tons of experience. That's the situation which brothers Anthony and Joe Russo - creators of Captain America: The Winter Soldier - have found themselves, as the two took a niche career as veteran television guys and turned it in to box office gold. With Winter Soldier holding on to the top film spot until Guardians of the Galaxy ended that run in September, it was clear that Marvel president Kevin Feige had found his men. Now, that success is being rewarded in two important ways. First, we've learned that after they finish directing Captain America: Civil War , they will begin developing the two sequels for Avengers: Age of Ultron (which premieres on May 1, 2015) titled Avengers: Infinity War . But that's not

Jeremy Renner to Appear in 'Captain America: Civil War'

Clint Barton will in fact appear in Marvel's Phase 3 Opener. Story by Matt Cummings With 2015 about to get ramped up with some serious blockbusters like Avengers: Age of Ultron , rumor has been raging for awhile about which hero(es) would survive or even return for Phase 3. Among those at the top of the "Soon to Be Unemployed List" was Clint Barton aka Hawkeye. Maligned through Phase 1's The Avengers , fans complained that Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) was underutilized, relegated to Loki's slave for the first 2/3 of the film. In fact, his role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier was gutted in favor of a tighter film, which ultimately needed him in the very last scene. But yesterday, THR released a story that clearly shows Hawkeye will not only survive Age of Ultron but will appear in at least one more film. According to the website, Renner will join Robert Downey, Jr and Chris Evans in Captain America: Civil War when it shoots this spring. We do

Marvel's Release Schedule Shifts for Spider-man Addition

Here's how the biggest news of 2015 will affect Marvel Studios' release schedule for the next 5 years. Story by Matt Cummings As we reported on Monday night , fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe just got the biggest news they could have hoped for in Sony Pictures' decision to share Spider-man and his villains with Marvel Studios. The deal is perhaps the biggest news of 2015, and could stand as the biggest entertainment news of the year, even with stories like Avengers: Age of Ultron and Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice in various stages of production. The questions on everyone's mind relative to Spider-man is multi-faceted: how will he fit in to the MCU? Will he appear in Captain America: Civil War ? And how does this affect Marvel Studios' release schedule as it was announced back in October 2014? While the first two questions are TBD, we do know the answer to the third question, because the other news regarding Spider-man is just as big. Not o

The Infinity Gauntlet Explained

What's in Thanos' wallet? The single most destructive thing in the universe. Story by Matt Cummings Although 2015 is filled with terrific upcoming films - like May's Avengers: Age of Ultron - we here at SJF are also into the forward-looking business. We're namely looking at 2018, to the end of Marvel's Phase 3 Infinity War . Central to that story will be Thanos the Mad Titan - featured in both The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy - who will eventually wish for the end of the entire universe to please the human form of Death. While a brilliant strategist and a tough cookie to crack, Thanos will need something more than his weirdly-chiseled chin to make that happen. Enter The Infinity Gauntlet, a glove which carries the six Infinity Stones. According to Marvel Comics and the Cinematic Universe, before our universe came into being, there was another universe here, and in it were six singularities. These represented six different parts of the cos

Scarlett Johansson Returns for Captain America 3

What role will Black Widow play in the upcoming film? Story by Matt Cummings With the incredible success of Captain America: The Winter Solider , Marvel Studios proved it could make a gripping game-changer that has since rippled throughout their movie and television universe. Even Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. got a much-needed boost from the infiltration of HYDRA and has spent half of Season 1 and most of Season 2 dealing with the consequences. Integral to that success was the role of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who made herself known as a deeply-conflicted psychopath. She had ties to the Winter Soldier himself in Bucky Barnes, and her presence was as satisfying as any other part of the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed feature. Thus, it comes as little surprise to learn that ScarJo has been tapped once again to join Cap (Chris Evans) in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. CBM has learned that she'll join Bucky (Sebastian Stan) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Iron
