Nick Fury Will Show Up In Captain America And Thor

We've known for a while that Nick Fury would be popping up in Captain America , and hoped and assumed that he'd be appearing in Thor , too. But we weren't 100 percent sure until we heard  Samuel L. Jackson  say it himself. Jackson appeared last night on Jimmy Fallon Live, where he dropped the news: Read more and watch the video after the Jump... "In the next month or so, I have to do one day on Thor, and I got to do another day on Captain America, and in April we start The Avengers, the big deal with everybody. ... Thor and Captain America are pretty much done, but I haven't done my part in them yet. I'm just connective tissue for them to join The Avengers." Jackson also mentioned that on Friday he'd be screen-testing with five actresses, one of whom will get to play "my sidekick who's with me all the time." No word yet on which Marvel Comics character some lucky actress will get to bring to life. Please Leave A Comment- Sou

Captain America: The First Avenger May Surprise People

“ Captain America: The First Avenger ” director Joe Johnston is not one of Hollywood’s shiny, happy people — the 60-year-old Texas native is known for blunt candor and a withering glare. That’s why I was bit taken aback the other day when I called his cellphone and heard a voice on the other end that actually sounded something close to giddy. surprise “I watched the movie for the first time a few days ago and I just looked at the first cut and there is so much entertainment value — it’s just flat-out fun to watch,” Johnston said of his Marvel Studios film, which hits theaters July 22. “Maybe I’m somewhat biased — I was there [when we made it] — but, seriously, it’s funny, it’s exciting and there’s great visual effects. The movie is going to be something more than people are expecting. This movie is going to surprise some people. It is the origin story of Captain America but it is also something rare — it’s a period superhero film but there’s great action in it. You don’t normally

Jon Favreau Calls 2011 Box Office A Blood Bath

Jon Favreau Calls 2011 Box Office A Blood Bath Jon Favreau has seen Hollywood’s future — at least as far as summer 2011 – and it looks a lot like “Saving Private Ryan.” “It’s Omaha Beach, it’s going to be a bloodbath,” the filmmaker said of next year’s crush of big special-effects films, remakes and sequels. “There’s never been a summer like this next summer. It’s going to be bloody [for filmmakers and the studios]. As we were sticking thumb tacks in a calendar we realized that this is going to be looked back upon as Omaha Beach.” Favreau, the director of the “Iron Man“ films, is well known to moviegoers as an on-screen funny guy in movies like “ Couples Retreat ” or the sublime “ Swingers “ (which he also wrote), but he wasn’t joking a bit when he said Hollywood is going to be in “a pit fight” next summer because of a glut of high-profile releases that will translate to some big-name disappointments just because of the numbers game. Favreau has a sci-fi horse in the race, of c

Hollywood Killing Superhero Movies? Vaughn Thinks So

Hollywood Killing Superhero Movies? Vaughn Thinks So The clock is ticking on the superhero craze in Hollywood, according to Matthew Vaughn , the director now filming "X-Men: First Class" for Fox in London. "It's been mined to death and in some cases the quality control is not what it's supposed to be," Vaughn said. "People are just going to get bored of it." Vaughn, who produced, directed and co-wrote " Kick-Ass ," says he pounced on the chance to make a film about the uncanny mutants from Marvel Comics because he expects the current boom in superhero cinema to fizzle out in the near future. "I've always wanted to do a big-budget superhero film and I think we've kind of crossed the Rubicon with superhero films," Vaughn said. "I think [the opportunity to do one], it's only going to be there two or three more times." "Then," he added, "the genre is going to be dead for a while because

Chris Evans Talks Captain America Script

Chris Evans Talks Captain America Script When it comes to " Captain America ," it's not exactly the easiest sell — after all, it's not every day that one sees a superhero running on the battlefield of World War II in a star-spangled suit. But for Chris Evans — the actor portraying Steve Rogers in the Marvel Studios film — shying away from a comic book film's more fantastical moments is not just a difficult task, but a potentially unnecessary one. "The nature of comic book movies in general — I mean, with Wolverine, you've got swords coming out of a guy's knuckles — it's all a bit fantastical," Evans told MTV News when asked about the tone of "Captain America" and comic book movies in general. "It's about finding a good script, a good director and finding a way to ground it in reality," he added. "Even if it is a bit dream-like, as long as you stay consistent, if you can get the audience to commit in the begin

Chris Evans Talks Captain America

Chris Evans Talks Captain America We've all seen the concept art of Chris Evans as Captain America and today we have some news about the costume and shield from the horses mouth. It’s an amazing costume. Given the fact that his costume is red, white and blue, and it’s tight, and it could be kind of flash and over the top – and given the fact that the movie takes place in the ‘40s and ‘50s – they’ve done a really good job of making it look really cool. There will be two Captain America outfits, one will be a show costume and the other is a battle ready costume. I think everyone that’s going to see it is going to say, 'Okay, well done. Well done. I think they got the costume right. The casting they completely ruined, but the costume they nailed! [In the Fantastic Four  suit] …you could move around quite well. This is a little more cumbersome. It doesn’t exactly breathe the way the Fantastic Four costume breathed, but it’s the way it should be. Any type of World War II

Dominic Cooper To Play Tony's Daddy In Upcoming Captain America Film

Dominic Cooper To Play Tony's Daddy In Upcoming Captain America Film Dominic Cooper will play younger Howard Stark in Captain America: The First Avenger. Still waiting for a confirmation. Captain America To Begin Filming In London

Captain America To Begin Filming In London Really what is the big deal people, movies are shot all over the world. But if you have your panties in a bunch to why they are filming Captain America: The First Avenger in London,  we have some info for you to the reason behind the decision. Other than it’s WWII setting, it’s mostly to save cost and for the tax incentives… The upcoming movie from Marvel Studios was originally to be filmed in Los Angeles. Instead, “Captain America: The First Avenger,” starring Chris Evans, Samuel Jackson and Hugo Weaving, will shoot this July in London, where the story is partially set. But the studio, which was acquired by Walt Disney Co. last year, concluded that London was the best location for “Captain America,” largely because the story is set in Europe and will feature a number of scenes in London such as Piccadilly Circus, and also because of favorable tax incentives. Though Marvel could have done the stage work in L.A. and shot exteriors in Londo

Captain America And The Avengers Could Be Shot In 3D

Captain America And The Avengers Could Be Shot In 3D If "Iron Man 2" had come out late in the summer, Tony Stark might have soared right out of the screen. And don't be surprised if Captain America's shield or even Thor's hammer comes flying at you in a dark theater in the seasons to come. In an interview Sunday about the huge $133.6-million opening of "Iron Man 2," Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige admitted he and his team had considered converting the superhero sequel into 3-D after seeing the success of "Avatar" and "Alice in Wonderland." Given the extensive demands of post-production on "Iron Man 2," however, they concluded there simply wasn't enough time. "We couldn't have turned over a version of the movie 10 or 20 weeks earlier for 3-D conversion without undermining the quality," he said. "We used all the time we had for mixing and editing and discovering the right tone." Don Che
