#TERMINATORGENISYS Uneventful Images

New images from TERMINATOR GENISYS and to be honest I am not impressed with the images at all. But I still have hope for the film. See all the images after the Jump... The filmmakers plan to re-create the memorable scene in the original Terminator when the T-800 lands at L.A.’s Griffith Observatory, complete with Schwarzenegger’s 36-year-old face and ripped, naked body. To achieve that, the special-effects team has created a “synthespian,” or synthetic thespian, using a body double plus scans of Schwarzenegger’s face from the first film merged with what his face looks like now. The result: an entirely CG head of the Terminator circa 1984. The filmmakers are counting on that technology, and the movie’s villain—a man/machine hybrid they’re keeping under wraps—to be visual game changers. Please Leave A Comment- Images Via EW

First Look At #TerminatorGenisys

We’ve heard a lot of talk about how Terminator: Genisys will play with the timeline originally established by James Cameron in the first two films. Now, with Entertainment Weekly publishing the first proper looks at the new movie via its latest covers, there are also some intriguing story details to relate. Naturally, we would caution that if you read ahead, you’re wandering into SPOILER TERRITORY , so be suitably advised. Genisys reportedly starts in 2029, with the war between the human rebels and Skynet’s malicious machines is in full swing. Present and correct – though played now by different actors – are John Connor ( Jason Clarke ) and Kyle Reese ( Jai Courtney ) who are taking advantage of pushing back against the antagonistic artificial intelligence to send Reese to 1984 on his mission to save Sarah Connor from termination at the hands of a killer cyborg. So far, so story as usual for the franchise. But when Reese makes it into the past, things are very different. Sar

#TerminatorGenisys More Likely To Be PG-13

Our good friends over at The Arnold Fans spoke to Jai Courtney about Terminator: Genisys . They got him talking about the potential rating for the film, and it appears we’re headed for another toned-down Terminator. " I would love to see it be rated R, but I don't think it will. I think in this day & age, it's much more likely to be PG-13 . There were no f-bombs. But there'll be a healthy amount of movie violence." Asked about the idea for sequels, Courtney appeared to confirm reports that the next two films will be shot back to back , which fits with Paramount looking to have them in theaters for 2017 and 2018. With Alan Taylor directing and Arnold Schwarzenegger on board, Terminator: Genisys arrives July 15, 2015. Please Leave A Comment-

Paramount is partnering with Skydance Productions on the trilogy. Alan Taylor is directing Genisys, which returns Arnold Schwarzenegger in the title role. Terminator 'Genisys' Is the Title For The New Terminator Film

For months now we have been calling the in-production new Terminator film 'Genesis' . Well, it turns out that we were all a little wrong. It will in fact be called ' Genisys ', as confirmed by an Instagram from Arnold Schwarzenegger 's personal account . We can only hope and assume that this title has some sort of meaning beyond being a funky spelling of an actual word. Perhaps there's a reference, in that "sys" suffix, to Cyberdyne Systems. Does the "gen" refer to generations? Or genes? After all, some people must have been used as the models for the Terminators in the first place, so maybe it's about their genes. We're hoping, in any case, that it's more than simply an attempt to be down with the cool kids by showing a flagrant disregard for the normal rules of English spelling. In any case, the cast and crew of the film are extremely promising. In addition to Schwarzenegger himself, the film stars Jason Clarke as John Con

Here are some images of   Arnold Schwarzenegger on the set of Terminator: Genesis . I know it's just set photos but this will give us an idea of what we have to look forward to. Terminator: Genesis , directed by Alan Taylor (“THOR: THE DARK WORLD,” “Game of Thrones”). The film is shooting in New Orleans. The new film is written by Laeta Kalogridis (“AVATAR,” “SHUTTER ISLAND”) and Patrick Lussier (“DRIVE ANGRY”). David Ellison and Dana Goldberg (“WORLD WAR Z,” “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS”) of Skydance Productions are producing. Executive producers are Skydance’s Paul Schwake (“WORLD WAR Z,” “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS”), Annapurna Pictures’ Megan Ellison (“AMERICAN HUSTLE,” “HER”), Kalogridis and Lussier. “TERMINATOR” stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (“THE EXPENDABLES 1 & 2,” “TERMINATOR 1, 2 & 3”), Jason Clarke (“THE GREAT GATSBY,” “ZERO DARK THIRTY”), Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”), Jai Courtney (“DIVERGENT,” “JACK REACHER”), J.K. Schwarzenegger Talks Terminator: Genesis

Usually before big films start shooting, everyone is on lockdown lest plot details leak. But it's hard to stop the gob of Arnold Schwarzenegger– rumor has it his mouth alone could bench press 293 pounds back in the day – and he seemed happy to spill a couple of details about Terminator: Genesis to MTV. Of course, letting the most iconic element of the new film drop hints isn't exactly going to hurt the awareness of the movie, which finds Alan Taylor directing a complex spin on the mythology that reportedly takes elements of the first three films from the series. That includes, apparently, a chance to see what an older version of Arnie's T-800 cyborg would look like. Wait... older? "The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath," Schwarzenegger says. "It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely

Terminator: Genesis: Jai Courtney To Play Kyle Reese

Jai Courtney has emerged as the one of the saviors of the world. I am not sure I really like this choice. Courtney has nabbed the role of Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis , the reboot being made by Paramount and Skydance, according to several sources. Paramount had no comment. Emilia Clarke and Jason Clarke are portraying Sarah Connor and John Connor in the movie, which will be directed by Alan Taylor . The movie has been rigorously testing actors for all parts including that of Reese, the hero who in the original travels to the present to save Sarah Connor and ends up fathering future human resistance hero John Connor. The role came down to Courtney and Boyd Holbrook, with Holbrook even testing twice. Courtney played a key role in TV’s Spartacus and played Bruce Willis’ son in A Good Day to Die Hard. He’ll next be seen in YA adaptation Divergent. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

We Have Our Sarah Conner. It's Emilia Clarke

After taming dragons on “ Game of Thrones ,” Emilia Clarke is preparing to fight cyborgs as she will portray Sarah Connor in Paramount, Skydance and Annapurna’s “ Terminator ” reboot. Clarke , along with Brie Larson , tested for the part but sources say that the “Thrones” star was the early favorite. Sources said the studio was also interested in Margot Robbie, but she never read for the part. Clarke’s deal closed Friday. “ Thor: the Dark World ” helmer Alan Taylor is directing the film with Skydance and Annapurna co-financing along with the studio with David Ellison producing for Skydance and sibling Megan Ellison producing for Annapurna. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penned the script. Plot details have not been revealed other than the project serving as the first film in a stand alone trilogy. “ Zero Dark Thirty” star Jason Clarke began negotiations this week to play the iconic role of John Connor, the son of Sarah Connor. Besides Clarke, Arnold Schwarzenegge

Could Jason Clarke Play John Conner In Upcoming Terminator Film?

Clearly not content with being in just one big science fiction franchise re-working, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes ’ Jason Clarke now has his eye on fighting that other big threat to humanity – the machines. Clarke, probably best known for Zero Dark Thirty , is in talks to play John Connor in the Terminator reboot. Thor: The Dark World (and Game Of Thrones veteran) director Alan Taylor is calling the shots for this one, working from a script by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. The plot is largely being kept quiet, though it may well follow much of the basics of James Cameron’s original (wo)man vs. machine narratives with a few changes here and there (particularly if the intent is to launch a TV series to run alongside it). Connor, of course, is the heroic leader of the human resistance, the man who must help us battle Skynet and stop the species becoming a footnote that is deleted because the technological terrors are really good at using both weapons and Wikipedia. He’s

Terminator T.V. Series In The Works

Four years after Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles ended its run on Fox, Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures are teaming to bring the Arnold Schwarzenegger franchise back to TV. The producers behind the upcoming fifth installment have tapped Thor and X-Men: First Class writers Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller to write and executive produce a new Terminator television series that will be a companion piece to the rebooted trilogy. The TV series will follow a critical moment from the first Terminator film (1984), and where the film's story goes one way, the upcoming series will take the same moment in a completely different direction. As the rebooted film trilogy and the new TV series progress, the two narratives will intersect with each other in surprising and dramatic ways. The TV series will be produced by Annapurna's Megan Ellison and Skydance's David Ellison alongside Skydance chief creative officer Dana Goldberg and TV chief Marcy Ross. Laeta Kalog

Could Orphan Black Star Tatiana Maslany Play Sarah Conner In Upcoming Terminator Film?

We’ve been wondering how long it’d take for the ultra-talented Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany to land a major movie gig, and it sounds like the moment could be coming soon. Maslany , who stars in the hit BBC America sci-fi series as half-a-dozen characters, is the latest actress to have allegedly tested for the role of Sarah Connor in the upcoming Terminator sequel. She joins Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Brie Larson (21 Jump Street) and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) among the actresses rumored for the gig. Maslany is one heck of an actress, and she’s shown on Orphan Black that she’s capable of kicking a little ass. She’d definitely be an interesting choice. According to The Hollywood Reporter , the studio wants to cast the female lead before rounding out the rest of the cast. Other major roles include a Tom Hardy -esque version of John Connor, and John’s future (past?) father, Kyle Reese. Though this one is still early in development, it sounds like di

TERMINATOR Reboot Casting News

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Alan Taylor is prepping to begin testing actors and actresses for the sci-fi feature project, which is being made by Paramount, Annapurna Pictures and Skydance Productions. The testing will begin next next week, with Taylor seeing Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke, Brie Larson (The Spectacular Now) as well as another actress vying for the role of young Sarah Connor . Margot Robbie’s name has also surfaced in connection with the role. Connor was played by Linda Hamilton in the classic movies directed by James Cameron. The character is the future mother of John Connor, who grows up to be the leader of the human resistance in the war between humanity and cyborgs. Names of those in contention began surfacing earlier this week. Taylor will also be searching for his young Kyle Reese , the man who will father John. Those actor tests will occur at a later date but insiders say Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) is on the short list although sources
