Son Of No One is a action thriller film written by Dito Montiel based on a book written by Montiel of the same name. The cast is amazing for a film I am sure most of you haven't heard of yet. It stars Channing Tatum, Al Pacino, Katie Holmes, Tracy Morgan, Juliette Binoche and Ray Liotta . The film has been selected to close the 2011 Sundance Film Festival on January 30, 2011 A young cop Tatum is assigned to a precinct in the Queens neighborhood where he grew up. To provide for his wife and ailing daughter, he works hard to keep his life on track. But this life is threatened when a dark secret bubbles to the surface. An anonymous source reveals new information about the unsolved murder of two boys and a possible police cover-up, setting off a chain of events that rattles the neighborhood. Al Pacino To Star In "Arbitrage" Al Pacino has set financial thriller " Arbitrage " as his next film. He'll star opposite Eva Green and Susan Sarandon . " Arbitrage " stars Pacino as a hedge fund magnate who is in over his head and desperate to complete the sale of his trading empire to a major bank before his fraud is revealed. But an unexpected, bloody error forces him to turn to the most unlikely corner for help.   Writer-director Nicholas Jarecki is set to start principal photography in Gotham next spring. Michael Ohoven ( "Capote") is producing and financing through his Infinity Media banner. Kevin Turen and Robert Salerno also are producers. Forget About It. What A Combo It's Goodfellas meets Casino meets Heat. So if you're a fan of those great crime movies, get ready: I'm told Al Pacino and Joe Pesci are now circling The Irishman , the mob drama that Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro have been working on together based on the exploits of mob hitman Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran as chronicled in the book I Heard You Paint Houses . The pic's being developed at Paramount by De Niro and Jane Rosenthal's Tribeca Productions. Pacino has worked with De Niro in the Michael Mann-directed classic Heat, as well as Righteous Kill. Katie Holmes Joins Sandler's Jack And Jill Katie Holmes is in talks to star opposite Adam Sandler and Al Pacino in " Jack and Jill ," a Columbia comedy being directed by Dennis Dugan. In the film, Jack, a family man, deals with his twin sister, Jill, when she visits for Thanksgiving then won't leave. Sandler will play both characters. Holmes would play Sandler's wife; Pacino is set to play himself. "Jack," being produced by Sandler and Happy Madison partner Jack Giarraputo with Todd Garner, is planning an October shoot. The role marks Holmes' first studio film since 2005's " Batman Begins ." In between, she took a break from acting but graced the screen in 2008's small-budgeted " Mad Money ." Al Pacino Slides Into "Son Of No One" Al Pacino is slipping into the shoes vacated by Robert De Niro in "Son of No One," the police thriller starring Channing Tatum being directed by Dito Montiel. Hannibal Pictures is pacting with Nu Image/Millenium Films to co-produce and co-distribute the movie, which begins shooting in New York on March 22. The script, written by Montiel, centers on a young cop (Tatum) who is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, with an old secret surfacing and threatening to destroy his life and family.
