BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Jordan Peele Looking To Remake Candyman

Even as he's busy filming his follow-up to Oscar-winning horror Get Out, Jordan Peele is using his producing powers to generate any number of other projects, including a new Twilight Zone series. According to the team at Bloody Disgusting, he's in talks to nab the rights to cult 1990s horror pic Candyman.

Originally adapted from The Forbidden, a short story published in Clive Barker's Books Of Blood, the 1992 film introduced Tony Todd as the iconic urban legend, a slaughtered spirit who appears if one says his name five times while looking in a mirror and wreaks bloody havoc. It was followed by two sequels (though neither are remembered as fondly) and has been the subject of the usual remake chatter for years.

Peele's Monkeypaw Productions company is aiming to grab its chance to make a new version, though there is no word on whether Peele would look to direct it – the idea of a successful black man who fathers a child with a white woman in 1890 and is then lynched, mutilated and ultimately killed with bees by the father of his lover is certainly something he could explore – or if he'll shepherd any eventual film for someone else to make.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim
