The nominees for the 87th Annual Academy Awards were announced this morning. Leading the pack with nine nominations were “Birdman” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” followed by “The Imitation Game” with eight, “Boyhood” and “American Sniper” with six, and “Whiplash,” “Interstellar” and “Foxcatcher” with five.
