Atari: Game Over Trailer Has Surfaced

Coming this fall, the movie will explain how copies of E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial for the Atari 2600 ended up buried in a landfill in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The Documentary tells the story of Atari, which went from being the fastest growing company in American history, to the producer of E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial for the Atari 2600, a game that failed so miserably Atari ended up burying thousands of unsold copies of it in a landfill in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The movie features interviews with the creator of the game, Howard Warshaw, other Atari employees, and various people involved with the dig that unearthed the buried copies of the game back in April.

The documentary series was produced by Xbox Entertainment Studios, the division responsible for original Xbox programming, which Microsoft announced it was shutting down earlier this month.

Microsoft has said that the shutdown will not impact Signal to Noise, as well as Halo: Nightfall, Steven Spielberg's Halo

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device.
