BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Gerard Butler Wants A Piece Of Gods Of Egypt

The pantheon for Alex Proyas’ new project, Gods Of Egypt, appears to be growing by one. After playing a Spartan king in 300 and saving the President of the United States in Olympus Has Fallen, Gerard Butler wants to become a deity in the film. Well, they say you should dream big…

Butler is in talks to play Set, the god of the desert, storms and foreigners in the Egyptian mythology. If he does sign, he’ll be getting violent, killing and mutilating his own brother, Osiris. It's all part of his dastardly plan to murder their father, Ra. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Geoffrey Rush has signed on for that role.

His murderous ways bring Set into direct conflict with Osiris’ son, Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who teams up with Hathor, the goddess of love, and a human thief, to seek vengeance. Leonidas vs. Jamie Lannister? This could be one heck of a rumble.

Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama are writing the script and Proyas is guiding this one through development. With casting starting to heat up, it sounds like it’s moving along nicely, though no one should forget that the director got even further along than this with Paradise Lost before it collapsed. Still, Summit Entertainment seems to be firmly behind Gods, so we’d expect the cameras to be cranking soon enough.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
