First Poster For The Adventures of Tintin

Paramount has released the first poster from The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, a collaboration between Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson, who will produce (alongside Kathleen Kennedy). Spielberg will direct.

The poster shows star Jamie Bell in silhouette. The holiday tentpole will be released on Dec. 23 in 3D. It's based off the famous comic book series penned by Herge.

Bell stars as a globetrotting reporter who goes head-to-head against the villainous Red Rackham, played by Daniel Craig. Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook also co-star.

Sherlock creator Steven Moffat, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World director Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish wrote the screenplay. Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard also contributed writing the project.

Jackson's Weta Digital developed the performance-capture technology that Jackson will use when he directs the second film in the franchise.

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack.
