Steven Spielberg To Direct Robopocalypse Based On A Comic Book

Steven Spielberg to direct Robopocalypse, based on Daniel H. Wilson's comic, which deals with the human race's struggle against a robot uprising.

Drew Goddard, who wrote the film Cloverfield and is a former Buffy the Vampire Slayer writer is rumored to be drafting a new screenplay for Spielberg.

Wilson hasn't finished the book yet, but word is Goddard has gotten underway and that it's a serious candidate. Let's face it, a big ticket Spielberg-directed tent pole would be a smashing way to start DreamWorks' new partnership with Reliance.
