Cars 2 is an upcoming computer-animated 3-D film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It will be the sequel to the 2006 film, Cars. It will be distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and is scheduled for release in theaters on June 24, 2011. Ratatouille producer Brad Lewis and John Lasseter will co-direct.

Lightning McQueen, his pit crew and his new crew chief, Mater, head around the world for the "Race of Champions" taking place in five different countries: Japan, Austria, Italy, a 24-hour race in France and the United Kingdom. However, Mater, involved in a case of mistaken identity, saves the life of a British secret agent named Finn McMissile and finds himself embroiled in his world of international espionage.

The first "Cars" film was the worst movie Pixar ever made. I hated it, not because it was incredibly bad, but because it was incredibly boring. It was just like every other "feel good" Disney movie with none of the Pixar innovation to pull it up out of the pit of pre-teen angst. Making "Cars II" is insane. What is "The Incredibles II?"
