BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

The Flash: New Hero & New Girlfriend?

Interesting Developments Inferred For Season 2

Story by David Clark

To say season 1 of The Flash ended on a cliffhanger is like saying the Hulk is kind of green; understatement of the year right? It should be considered cruel and unusual punishment considering fans like us will have to wait until the fall of 2015 to find out what happens next.

As if anticipation for the premiere was not enough, the latest news from this past week gives people even more reasons to be curious about what The Flash has in store.

It is being reported that casting calls have gone out for two new roles. The first is for a new hero whose identity is yet to be revealed. The second is a new love interest for the scarlet speedster Barry.

For everyone screaming that Barry can not have a new love interest, think about how season 1 ended. Yes, by all indications a combination of Barry and Iris - Biris or Irry - is pretty much a foregone conclusion. It was all but revealed by the Reverse Flash on the show. Many comic books also pair up Barry and Iris. However, the CW has already proven with shows like Arrow that comic book canon is not safe when it comes to creating an entertaining television show. Besides, Iris’s fiancee did literally just commit suicide and bleed out right in front of her eyes. It would take someone with superhuman powers to not be totally traumatized by witnessing such a thing. Iris will not likely be hopping into more relationships anytime soon. All of which paves the way for Barry’s new infatuation Wendy.

Who is Wendy? That is not yet clear. The DC Universe does have several people named Wendy, however whether this particular Wendy correlates to an existing character or is an all new character remains to be seen. The new Flash love interest is going to be an up and coming law enforcement officer in Central City who is scientifically minded, bright, romantic, and spunky. Put simply, just the type of girl Barry Allen is likely to find extremely attractive. Good ol’ Barry will have plenty of opportunities to display that awkward clumsy demeanor he often has around cute girls.

Joining Wendy on the show is a new and unknown superhero. The CW has released very little about the mystery hero, only that said hero will be in their 30’s or 40’s, will be edgy and cynical, and will be around for a big chunk of the 2nd season.

Speculation has run rampant about the new hero. Some believe it might be Hawkman. Others say Jay Garrick because it is believed to be the fellow speedsters helmet that flew through the portal at the end of season 1. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed for yet another theory in which the Green Lantern storyline finally begins. The first season kept fans on the edge of their seats by weaving in interesting side plots and multiple hero personalities. Season 2 looks to be more of the same, which in this case, is the best news ever.

Starring: Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Rick Cosnett, Patrick Sabongui
Rating: IMDB has given the show an 8.3 out of 10
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama

Who do you think will be cast in the role of Barry’s new love interest? Who is this new mysterious hero joining the team in season 2?

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free. That's how bad our experience became as we sat mesmerized by its 99 minutes of ineptit...

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
