Jonathan Nolan Interview PERSON OF INTEREST At Comic Con 2012

SandwichJohnFilms had the chance to attend the press junket for the hit TV show PERSON OF INTEREST at Comic-Con 2012. Being that this is MattInRC's favorite, it's only fitting that he sat down with the cast while I stood back and let him do his thing.

If you’re a fan of the show (and frankly who isn’t), you know the season finale featured several unexpected turns that left our heroes separated and Reese turning to an unlikely ally for help. Stars Michael Emerson (Finch), Jim Caveizel (Reese), Taraji Henson (Carter) and Kevin Chapman (Fusco) joined series creator Jonathan Nolan and producer Greg Plageman to discuss the show and its unique premise.

Next up for us was Jonathan Nolan the man behind the show. You say the name sounds familiar, he his the brother of Christopher Nolan and the writer behind such films as The Prestige, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

Jonathan Nolan
Confirms that they will be bringing back a number of recurring roles in Season 2.
On the music of Ramin Jawadi (Iron Man): “I knew his work…from Game of Thrones. We’re extremely lucky to get him. He’s unbelievably talented and elevates everything we do.”
He discusses the differences between working in television and film, joking that people in TV have to listen to him and in film they don’t.

On attracting so many great actors to the show: “We consistently have the best cast in television, with a lot of New York actors that you don’t normally see on television.”
Discusses that the concept of the show was based on his youth growing up in England in the 1980’s when CCTV was installed. He and his ‘mates’ knew that most cameras were never monitored but began to ask if something could watch them all, such as a machine.

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
