BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Frank Grillo To Star In Wolf In The Wild

Variety is reporting Frank Grillo will star in “Wolf in the Wild” for Awesomeness Films.

The film centers on a young man who is taken in by his best friend’s family after his grandmother dies. Life initially seems idyllic, until he stumbles upon proof that his adopted father may be a violent criminal. Tonally, the film is meant to be a mixture of “Disturbia” and “Rear Window.”

“I’m excited to be working with Awesomeness on a script that is a throwback to suspense thrillers I love,” said Grillo.

Grillo has been in a number of high-profile projects, of late. He anchors the acclaimed MMA fighter series “Kingdom” and reprises his role as Crossbones in this summer’s “Captain America: Civil War.” Other upcoming parts include “The Purge: Election Year” and “Beyond Skyline.”

Claire Holt (“The Vampire Diaries”) will co-star. Greg Plotkin (“Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension”) is on board to direct from a screenplay by Mark Mavrothalasitis and Will Frank. Awesomeness chief Brian Robbins and Awesomeness Films head Matt Kaplan are producing.

Launched in 2015, Awesomeness Films produces and distributes movies focused on young adult audiences. The goal is to make 10 films annually. It is the film division of AwesomenessTV, the multi-platform media company owned by DreamWorks Animation and Hearst, which creates content for millennials.

The company will be at Cannes for the first time since its inception, selling global rights to “Wolf in the Wild” as well as the upcoming titles, “Before I Fall” with Zoey Deutch and “You Get Me” with Bella Thorne. Good Universe will serve as the sales agent for the films.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...
