Variety is reporting Keanu Reeves has been cast opposite Lily Collins in Marti Noxon’s feature directorial debut “To the Bone,” a dark comedy inspired by her own personal experience with anorexia.
“To the Bone” is the first picture announced from their slate, with principal photography set for the end of March in Los Angeles.
Reeves will be playing William Beckham, the doctor with an unorthodox style who pushes Collins’ character to choose life and commit to getting better.
“Keanu has such generosity and intelligence, not to mention a warmth that I’m eager to tap into. We’re all incredibly excited that he’s agreed to help us bring ‘To the Bone’ to life,” said Noxon.
Noxon has accumulated producing and writing credits on a wide assortment of TV series, including “Mad Men,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice.” She’s exec producing and writing Bravo’s “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” and Lifetime’s “UnReal” along with serving as an executive producer on the CBS medical drama “Code Black.”
Reeves recently wrapped production on “John Wick 2” and is in post-production on “The Whole Truth,” “The Neon Demon” and “The Bad Batch.”
