CALLING ALL SUPER HEROES! MARVEL UNIVERSE LIVE! TO HOLD PERFORMER AUDITIONS IN BAY AREA FOR THE ALL-NEW ARENA STUNT SPECTACULAR TOUR.


Marvel fans, assemble! Feld Entertainment is holding auditions in the Bay Area for the 2016 national U.S. tour of the all-new arena stunt spectacular, Marvel Universe LIVE!, featuring dozens of the famed Marvel Super Heroes and Villains.


Currently seeking male and female action performers, martial artists, gymnasts, acrobats and specialty acts; ideal candidates would possess stage combat experience in addition to training in one or more of the following disciplines: harness flying, martial arts, motorcycle riding (freestyle, trials, motocross and tricks are a plus), trick skateboarding, parkour, or gymnastics. Stunt training and experience with high falls, ratchet pulls, air rams, and rappelling is a huge plus. All performers will be asked to learn a basic stage combat routine and be assessed on basic stunt skills and ability to take direction.

Requirements: Candidates must be 5’6” and taller and 18 years of age to audition. Please bring a non-returnable headshot and resume; demo reels or performance clips of specialty acts and stunts can also be accepted. Specialty Acts should provide their own equipment for demonstration. Please no character look a like costumes, armor, toy props or accessories; candidates should be dressed in fitted athletic attire to move freely and safely during a stage combat or specialty routine.

Marvel Universe LIVE! will captivate audiences with an authentic and original story that brings more than 25 Marvel icons together on one epic quest. The Cosmic Cube, the source of ultimate power and one of the most feared and coveted treasures in the Marvel Universe, has been shattered into pieces by the Mighty Thor in order to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. With the pieces scattered across the globe, Thor’s villainous brother Loki devises a scheme to clone its powers, inciting a threat that could not only decimate Earth but also obliterate the Universe. Watch your favorite Marvel Super Heroes including Spider-Man and The Avengers (Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk and more) and threatening villains come to life in an action-packed arena extravaganza.

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device.
