The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 Teaser Poster

Given that, besides possibly Jennifer Lawrence’s face and Stanley Tucci’s gleaming teeth, the graphic imagery of golden Mockingjay birds and flames are the defining iconography of the Hunger Games films, the new poster for Mockingjay – Part 1 should not come as a surprise to anyone.

Still, we must admit the smallest inkling of disappointment that the first teaser poster isn’t more distinctive, but then it’ll look good on a wall besides the others, which at this stage is really the point. Perhaps when the IMAX poster – should there be one – rolls around, things will once more get truly creative.

Directed by Francis Lawrence and adapted by Danny Strong from Suzanne Collins' third novel, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 & 2 make up the third and fourth instalments of heroine Katniss Everdeen’s journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself whom she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.

With Lawrence back as Katniss surrounded by fellow veterans Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin and Woody Harrelson plus franchise newcomers Julianne Moore, Lily Rabe, Natalie Dormer and Robert Knepper.

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman?
