PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Following the nationally-syndicated re-launch of the series that made her a worldwide icon, Elvira is back with a new line of double feature DVDs, featuring the “Mistress of the Dark” hosting some of the “greatest” B-movie classics of all time! Each DVD, priced at a terrifyingly collectible $14.98srp, includes two fright-fests digitally remastered for optimal shocks.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD & I EAT YOUR SKIN

Zombies have never been hotter, and this DVD highlights two undead classics including the legendary genre-spawner from George Romero (Dawn of the Dead, Survival of the Dead) and one of Elvira’s all-time favorite zombie flicks. Called “a genuine cultural phenomenon” by Entertainment Weekly, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1968) gave shocking birth to the modern horror movie. When radiation from a fallen satellite causes the dead to reanimate with a hunger for human flesh, a group of survivors holes up in a Pennsylvania farmhouse and attempts to fend off the undead onslaught in this tense film Hatchet director Adam Green calls “one of the most terrifying movies ever made”. In I EAT YOUR SKIN (1964), a cancer researcher on a remote Caribbean island discovers that by treating the natives with snake venom he can turn them into bug-eyed zombies. Though uninterested in this discovery, he’s forced by his employer to create an army of the creatures in order to conquer the world in this 1964 classic called “fascinating…in a so-bad-it’s-good way” by the Zombie Movie Guide.

THE SATANIC RIGHTS OF DRACULA & THE WEREWOLF OF WASHINGTON

Hammer’s final Dracula film starring Christopher Lee (Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings) and Peter Cushing (Star Wars, “Sherlock Holmes”) meets Oscar® nominee Dean Stockwell (Blue Velvet, The Manchurian Candidate) in the world’s first ever political werewolf film in this MOVIE MACABRE™ soon-to-be DVD classic! In THE SATANIC RIGHTS OF DRACULA (1973), Scotland Yard investigators think they have uncovered a case of vampirism in London, so they call in an expert vampire researcher named Van Helsing (a descendant of the great vampire-hunter himself, no less) to help them put a stop to these hideous crimes. It soon becomes apparent that the culprit is Count Dracula himself, disguised as a reclusive property developer, and secretly plotting to unleash a fatal virus upon the world. Lee and Cushing are joined by Freddie Jones (Dune, The Elephant Man) and Joanna Lumley (“Absolutely Fabulous”, Ella Enchanted) in a bloody good flick. Oscar®-nominee Stockwell stars in THE WEREWOLF OF WASHINGTON (1973), about a reporter who has an affair with the daughter of the President and is send to Hungary, where he’s bitten by a werewolf. Soon, after being transferred back to Washington with a job as press assistant to the President, bodies start turning up in D.C. in this toothsome chiller.

As synonymous with Halloween as Santa Claus is with Christmas , Elvira has carved out a niche in popular American culture and ELVIRA’S MOVIE MACABRE will assure that the “Mistress of the Dark” is the quintessential symbol of all things spooky for decades to come.

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free. That's how bad our experience became as we sat mesmerized by its 99 minutes of ineptit...

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
