Let's stop the musical chairs now. We are not in first grade anymore.

The studio better get their act together because the targeted start date of February is coming up soon.

First Tom Cruise was set to star in the film, but dropped out to star in another film. Then came "Avatar" star Sam Worthington was going to star in the film, he exited along with director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, both over creative differences. Then Charlize Theron exited and Angelina Jolie entered. Tried yet?

And this is how we have come to Mr. Depp.

Johnny Depp is in talks to star with Angelina Jolie in "The Tourist," a film that is undergoing another major shift of elements as it heads toward a February production start.

Depp is negotiating to play an American tourist drawn into a web of intrigue by a female Interpol agent (Jolie) who is attempting to locate a criminal who was once her lover.

Directors including Alfonso Cuaron are already circling.

The prospect of a Depp-Jolie teaming is tantalizing in what's just the latest turn for a project that has seen some of Hollywood's top talents come and go.

Depp was brought into the mix by King, with whom he has a close relationship, most recently collaborating on "The Rum Diary" and the Gore Verbinski-directed animated pic "Rango."

A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack.
