BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Margot Robbie To Star In Marian

Hollywood just can't get enough of Robin Hood. Not content with several self-described "new" spins on the character in development, and Taron Egerton donning the Lincoln Green for one movie in production, yet another is joining the fray, with a big name attached: Margot Robbie is aiming to star in Marian.

Pete Barry wrote the spec script which, as you might be able to figure out from the title, focuses on the woman usually known as Maid Marian. Far from being the love interest in this one, Marian is being described as a cross between Game Of Thrones and Braveheart, though the description makes it sound more of a piece with the Joan Of Arc story. The concept is this: after Marian sees Robin killed before her eyes, she swears to pick up his cause. Training to become a fighter, she also rises to a position of leadership and eventually legend as she commands the fight against a conspiracy to conquer England. Robbie could certainly do this one justice, and it would give her something new to play. The big question is how – beyond the basic hook – it separates itself from the 500 other Hood projects out there.

Producers Donald De Line and Amy Pascal have picked this one up for Sony, and we can expect the studio to push this one into development quickly, likely leaping over the other Robin project it had percolating.

Robbie, who has also started to produce some of her films, has a few movies on the way, including the still-untitled A.A. Milne biopic, new thriller Terminal, I, Tonya and Peter Rabbit.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...
