Wizard World Presents: ‘Jay & Silent Bob Get Old’ Podcast With Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes In Reno, Friday, November 20

‘Clerks, ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’ Writer/Director, Star To Record Comedy Podcast In Front Of Live Audience at Reno-Sparks Convention Center; Rare Dual Photo Ops On Saturday, November 21

Kevin Smith , who wrote and directed Clerks, Yoga Hosers, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and the series “Comic Book Men” among his many credits, and Jason Mewes , who starred in Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob among numerous collaborations with Smith, will record an episode of their podcast “Jay & Silent Bob Get Old” on Friday, November 20, from 8-9:30 p.m. at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, in conjunction with the second annual Wizard World Comic Con Reno.

Ranked #1 on Itunes Comedy podcasts, “Jay & Silent Bob Get Old” is a sometimes touching, always hilarious, look at what happens when two people grow up in Hollywood’s gaze. These limited engagements will be recorded as the stories evolve live in front of the audience, and released for free on www.smodcast.com.

Wizard World Comic Con Reno attendees will also be able to take advantage of the extremely rare opportunity to pose for a dual Photo Op with both Smith and Mewes at noon on Saturday, November 21.

Very limited seating is available for the event, which requires a separate admission from Wizard World Comic Con Reno. Fans who purchase a special VIP package will get first entry into the panel and dual photo op.

Wizard World Presents: “Jay & Silent Bob Get Old” Podcast follows up on similar events at Wizard World shows in Sacramento and Minneapolis earlier this year.

A writer, comedian, podcaster, and film director, Smith has written and directed numerous films, including Dogma, Red State and Tusk, in addition to Clerks, Chasing Amy and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.
He also has authored Silent Bob Speaks, Shootin’ the Sh*t with Kevin Smith, My Boring-Ass Life and most recently Tough Sh*t: Life Advice from a Fat, Lazy Slob Who Did Good. He can be heard daily at Smodcast.com, a vast network of podcasts.

In addition to being the never-silent half of the cult heroes Jay and Silent Bob, Mewes has appeared in Smith’s Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Clerks II
among 80 film and TV credits. The New Jersey native has also appeared in a variety of indie films, television roles and video game voiceovers, including Pauly Shore is Dead, National Lampoon’s TV: The Movie, Gone Baby Gone, Bitten, Breath of Hate, Silent But Deadly and Noobz .
