Olivia Wilde Returns for #Tron3

When Tron: Legacy debuted in 2010, it didn't exactly win everyone over, at least not right away. Chided by critics as missing the spirit of the 1982 trippy computer-generated cult classic, it's gone on to become a rather beloved forerunner to more recent films. From the beautiful imagery by Director Joseph Kosinkski to the huge orchestral score by Daft Punk, Tron: Legacy has stuck around in moviegoer's minds far longer than more recent, established franchises (Amazing Spider-man, Transformers). And while a follow-up was only recently guaranteed, it appears that another critical component has re-joined for another adventure.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Actress Olivia Wilde is set to return, along with Garrett Hedlund in the follow-up currently titled Tron 3. Wilde, who played the computer-generated-butt-kicking Quorra, escaped with Sam Flynn (Hedlund) to the real world after Sam journeyed into The Grid to look for his father (Jeff Bridges). The film made over $400 million worldwide, signaling that audiences wanted to see more of that world. Since that time, Disney has been developing a sequel, although it's unclear whether a script exists. Also, it's not known whether Bridges or Bruce Boxleitner (who played the titular character in the 1982 and shared two roles in the 2010 version) will make an appearance.

Konsinki (Oblivion) is also signed to direct, and Disney is looking to begin shooting in Vancouver in the fall. No release date has been established, nor have any script details have released.

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity.
