Johnny Depp plays Whitey Bulger.

Joel Edgerton will play John Connolly, the disgraced FBI agent and childhood pal of Bulger, imprisoned for tipping Bulger that he was about to be indicted.

Benedict Cumberbatch plays the brother of Johnny Depp’s character

Dakota Johnson plays one of the women in Bulger’s life, Johnson’s character is Lindsey, Bulger’s girlfriend and mother of his 6-year old son Douglas who tragically dies.

Juno Temple plays a prostitute.

Jesse Plemons plays blue collar tough guy named Kevin Weeks, part of Whitey’s inner circle.
