BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood To Star in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spinoff

Mockingbird is leaving the nest.

By Brandon Wolfe

The focus of the recently announced Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off has finally been revealed. The show will center on the characters of Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and her off-and-on lover, fellow agent Lance Hunter (Nick Blood). The characters were introduced early on in the parent show’s current second season as highly capable operatives working alongside (and occasionally against) Coulson and his team, their tempestuous relationship as former husband and wife being a major focus.

The direction of the show has yet to be disclosed, but will be set up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as it winds down for the season. The spin-off is being developed by S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and co-executive producer Paul Zbyszewski, who are collaborating on the script and will act as executive producers, with Zbyszewski is expected to serve as showrunner. ABC has not given the series the official greenlight yet, but is expected to upon receiving the script.

While Morse and Hunter have proven to be stronger characters than the core cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., they haven’t exactly blown the roof off the show, either. Still, a series built around them has more promise than what we’re presently receiving on the flagship show.

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
